PIYUSH PATIL with two of my friends. One who was violent was expelled form his school for responding others in a violent way which was against school’s policy, what actually happened with him was he was orally tortured by his class mates which hurts his emotional sentiments and few action movies influenced a faith in him which bursted out one day. Necessary actions were taken and he was expelled. Other friend of mine who had a special interest in a mathematical topic very well known to everyone Quadratic Equation, he had his keen interest in solving all mathematical problems using quadratic equations or by its forms, this led him to a great loss in life. Just due to the tendency he had build up in his mind of using quadratic equation everywhere. Ignoring the fact that this method consumes lot of time, comparative to other methods which are used to solve other problems in math which can be at the same time solved by quadratic but consumes more time. Due to this he couldn't complete his entrance papers on time and was considered fail.
Studying both the above cases puts me in the misery with lot of questions rising in my mind, violence is something which is not accepted by the society we live in, but
Being one of the greatest philosophers of his time, Pythagoras created a society of skilled mathematicians who worked together to facilitate mathematics, showed how numbers can be independent, and proved the Pythagorean theorem, making him iconic in mathematics today. His discoveries of simple yet essential methods are prevalent today throughout many mathematical fields in which they are treasured.
Pythagoras was the first person to really influence the founding of Calculus. He was an Ionian greek philosopher, mathematician, and has been credited as the founder of the movement called Pythagoreanism. Keep in mind he was born in 570 BC and died in 495 BC, so yeah, he’s kind of old. Most of the information about Pythagoras was written down centuries after he lived, so very little reliable information is known about him. He was born on the island of Samos, and traveled the world, visiting Egypt and Greece, and possibly India, and in 520 BC he returned Samos. Around 530 BC, he moves to Croton, in Magna Graecia, and there he established some kind of school or guild.

Another example of humanity’s struggle with violence theme happened when Kino killed a man in self-defense. Kino was caring and friendly; he would never intently mean to harm or kill anyone unless someone was bringing harm to him and the things that he loved. One night a “dark one” on the path attacked Kino as he was walking toward his brush hut. The “dark one” wanted Kino’s pearl and would do anything to get it. In return, Kino also wanted the pearl and would protect it at all cost. The following quote demonstrated the violent actions that resulted due to this attack, “He heard the rush, got his knife out and lunged at one dark figure and felt his knife go home” (59). There are many great philosophers in this world. Some of which are extremely well known and almost everyone knows their names like Socrates, Plato Aristotle Locke and so very many more. The most famous gift of Socrates to Western civilization is that of the Socratic Method. Socrates believed in deductive reasoning, or the need to reason about specific facts from principles. The Socratic Method involves the student in the learning process through questioning, and even when the teacher wishes the student to arrive at a specific answer, it is the student who is encouraged to draw the conclusion. The teacher does not lecture or impose the lesson upon the student. "Socratic questioning is a systematic process for examining the ideas, questions, and answers that form the basis of human belief. It involves recognizing that all new understanding is linked to prior understanding, that thought itself is a continuous thread woven throughout lives rather than isolated sets of questions and answers" ("The Socratic Method," Learn NC, 2012). In one famous dialogue of Socrates called Meno, Socrates was able to teach an ignorant slave-boy basic principles of geometry, simply through questioning the boy and showing him how to arrive at a deductive conclusion.
