Before students have these fancy smartphones, tablets, laptops and other technology we have today, students in the old days in 1900s wasn’t simple. Students have used the library to do all there research and assignments using library cards to find the books they need to look up information and go to their professor directly to ask questions and turn in the assignments. Students also have to buy lots of textbook for their classes which it can be heavy and must carry it on certain days so they don’t be too tired from carrying textbook. Internet from home was slow from dial-up modem which it dials a number, then make all those weird sound effects from the computer, after that it loaded the page with texts since it has no social media such as Facebook or video streaming site such as Netflix and YouTube; it also annoyed by people told them they have to use the home phone which the person has to disconnect the internet in order to call people unless they have a cell phone. Cell phone can only made phone calls either with the screen or without it, can’t take
The evaluation on overall tone was informal and not respectful towards to the recipients. From line 14 to 15, the tone of the sentence was informal in putting across the message of asking his fellow colleagues to cut down on their frequency of checking emails. This would also deem as not respectful by the recipients. In line 18, the use of “yap” as a slang for yes was unacceptable as well. From line 23 to 25, the phrase “by the way” should not be used in communicating in workplace. The tone of sentences between line 23 to line 25 was sarcastic and adopts an arrogant attitude towards the recipients. In line 32, the sentence “it really works, try it!” was not appropriate in a formal email to promote the skills he was sharing. The sentence “Too bad I have to miss this one” in line 35, was an expression of his feelings which was unnecessary. Lastly, he should not be signing off with cheers since this was supposed to be an formal and informative email. This makes the email informal and seems to be having a conversation with his friends and not his

This submission is a unique one since it was not a written assignment but three videos. As a summer research assistant for Professor Jennifer Drake at the University of Toronto, my two colleagues and I had to create three research videos depicting the research of three graduate students. It was an honour to make the videos of three graduate students who I had worked closely with in the summer, Ali Jahanfar and his research on the effects of solar panel shading on the plant’s growth, Kirti Sehgal and her work on permeable pavement and determining which type of pavement worked the best and Dalia El Helow and her research on how the cooling effects of green roof could help improve efficiency the solar panel efficiency. The following three videos provide a brief overview of the work of the graduate students but they also provide a good

Here the router compares the IP addresses of the datagram with the forwarding table. The router compares the initial bits of the IP address to the bits present in the forwarding table. For example if the IP address is 11100001 01000000 11000011 00111100, now the router compares the first 10 bits to the first element of the forwarding table, but it doesn’t matches with the first address. Now the router compares the first 10 bits with the second address of the table which matches with the IP addresses first few bit. But now again the router compares the first few bits of the IP with the third

Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is the next protocol version that it is used for communications on Internet. The Internet based on IPv4 protocol has made countless success in the past 20 years. Yet it has some limitations that were not estimated when it was first created, the IPv4 protocol cannot content the requirements of the Internet expanding. It is reported that all unallocated addresses for IPv4 will be used up within 5 to 6 years. IPv6 protocol suite was presented in IETF (Internet Engineer Task Force) on 1994. This suite is using 128-bit address instead of 32-bit IPv4 address. The United States, Europe, and East Asia were the first to recognize the significance of IPv6 and plan to deploy it. Transition to IPv6 has been documented as the most promising direction, because Ipv6 overcomes many of IPv4 limitations, and it is the only viable long-term replacement for IPv4.
The SMTP protocol was created in the early 1980 and it remains one of the most important and popular internet protocols that we use worldwide nowadays.
