The Preamble is the mission statement of the United States. To achieve the Preamble objectives, it needs money, to attain that, we use the Federal Budget. The Preamble objectives help the government decide how the money is spent in the budget. In each of the three budget clusters, the U.S government should make adjustments in the way it is distributing the money: changes involving the Big Five, Changes involving the Middle Five, and Change involving the Little Guys. Some would say that the government is not correctly dividing the budget the correctly and that some modifications could be made. The Big Five is one of the three clusters that need adjustments. With the budget, the government is able to give support to families to meet the necessary …show more content…
The most important spending change to be made in the cluster is the National Park Service. It takes up less than .1% of the Little Guys. More money should be put into the National Park Service because we need to preserve our parks. National parks are homes to many animals and provide nice areas for people to go and relax. As stated in Document E, national park service “includes administration and maintenance of 58 national parks, 123 historic sites, and 74 national monuments.” Whether it be park, historic site, or national monument, it needs to be protected. Industrial services want to get rid of parks so they can build buildings. By getting rid of them, they are hurting the environment and the ecosystem. Trees provide the oxygen we breathe and by cutting them down, we are in a sense, killing ourselves. Building more buildings would just cause more pollution and further hurt the environment. The Preamble goal that the National Park service addresses is general welfare. Another goal is securing the blessings of liberty. Document A states that “one of the reasons for fighting the American revolution was to protect the “inalienable rights” of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” That means that we have a right to take care and preserve our parks and we should not be persuaded to get rid of
The preamble played a vital role in shaping America as it is today. Three of the many national goals stated in this essential document include forming a more perfect union, establishing justice, and promoting the general welfare of every citizen. All of these goals have been achieved to some degree since the conception of the document and America continues to thrive and push forward, still as much in its’ prime as it was years ago.
The Preamble; a profound one sentence prelude to the Constitution. It states the purpose and gives outlook to why the constitution was established and its intent. The Preamble comprises of bold words and phrases that highlight key points to the meaning of the document. It summarizes six different goals or reasons to what the constitution plans to uphold. Those six goals, were intended to creat greatness to the country and show what the United states would stand for, life and pursuit to happiness.
Answer: The Preamble was the introduction to the constitution. It had all the purposes, fundamentals and goals of the government, which was established by the Constitution.
In September 1787, a well written document called the U.S. Constitution was being created by our founding fathers, like George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and others, and was ratified on 1791 in Philadelphia at the Constitutional Convention. The Constitution to was established because our founding fathers wanted to “establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity”, which says the Preamble, for everyone. The Preamble is a statement that is the introduction to the Constitution and was written to explain the purpose of the Constitution. The seven principles of the
The Preamble to the Constitution is important because it gives us freedom and security from infringement on these rights. It talks about our goal to form a “more perfect Union” and establishes the Constitution. The goal is to bring justice to those who have been awaiting it. Justice means to bring to the surface what matters and to make it right. This will help to make us into that union or unit of people. To unite us and make us one nation. By uniting the people you are making the nation stronger and more prepared to face situations.
|2.1 Explain the purpose of agreeing the format in which a budget will be presented |Question 1 Page 2 |
Budgeting is perhaps the most essential process involved in the United States government. While this process seems to exist only in the background, it is, in reality, what allows all other processes of government to function as they do. In order to satisfy the most necessities of modern society, changes must be made to each of the three major categories of the budget: the big five, the middle five, and the little guys.
“The federal budget is the yearly plan for how the US government will spend the money it takes from taxes and borrowing.” After thoroughly analyzing the federal budget from 2012, it is unquestionably evident that a majority of the money is being put into a few major categories, leaving room for the rest of the smaller categories to be financially neglected. Is this fair? It seems that the money could be more fairly distributed, and that there is room for cuts in some of the larger categories, to improve the littler ones. In each of the three budget clusters, the US Government should make adjustments in the way it is distributing money; changes involving the big five, the middle
In Peter Charles Hoffer’s For Ourselves and Our Posterity, he talks about how the preamble to the constitution was such a transcendent idea. Hoffer talks about how the way the preamble was written it has been able to adjust and adapt to the needs of the nation over time. In analyzing this novel Hoffer makes many interesting and compelling arguments in saying that the preamble has been one of the most influential pieces of work in helping develop this country. After reading this book and looking at the civil war, the presidency of FDR, and the presidencies of JFK and Lyndon B. Johnson. I have found that I agree with Hoffer’s opinion.
2.What is a public budget” What does Rubin mean by the phrase “clusters of budget decisions”?
After 1776, radical change occurred that led our forefathers to create The Preamble. This document is the opening statement to the United States Constitution. Its purpose is to explain why the men writing the Constitution created our government. The Preamble does not provide any laws or assign any certain kind of power. It delivers what the founding fathers intentions were when they wrote the Constitution. The United States had some successes and unfortunately some failures when it came to accomplishing its goals during its early ascendancy because they were able to make the U.S. safe at high costs, and was able to make themselves into a powerhouse of a country.
The section of the Declaration of Independence of which I am referring to talks about the equality of men, their unalienable rights, the right of the people to change the government if it becomes destructive, and the safety and happiness of the American people. The goal of the Declaration of Independence was for the young nation to become independent from Great Britain, to unite and to become a powerful force without a monarch, but with the ideas and rule of the people. The Preamble to the Constitution talks about similar things, the goal of the Preamble was to explain what the Constitution was all about, about making a more perfect union, to have liberty and peace in the nation, and how those things were not possible without creating rules and laws for the people to obey.
The preamble to the constitution of the United States has played an important role all the way from when it was put in place in September 17, 1787, to today in our present legal, government, and economic systems. Currently we often do not realize the magnitude of importance it holds, and we neglect to see how it relates to the current issues we face. Personally I feel that a crucial part of our preamble is to insure domestic tranquility, it is of such utter importance in our country. Our nation’s people must feel they can have trust in the government, equality, security, peace at home, everything that comes with the promise of freedom the US holds, so that we can continue to flourish
The struggle that weighed heavy on America after independence was the constant battle toward creating and maintaining a stable central government. Through various conventions, compromises, and plans, the United States Constitution was finally ratified. A key component of the constitution, which has been shown to be a compelling guide to the basic fundamentals expressed throughout this document, is the preamble. As the introduction to the precedents/ principles of the federal government , the preamble holds immense importance, because of its emphasis on the strict beliefs of which America is built on.
This fresh, new foundation came in the form a document that outlined the way the government would work. Unlike the way Europe was governed before the Enlightenment period, Americans, since they had recently liberated themselves from the British throne, wanted to establish a government in such a way that would prevent tyrannical monarchy. By this time, they still were faced with the challenge of a republican self government. But again, we see the influence of Locke’s ideas from his Treatise, where he proposed that people had the right to establish their own government for their own protection of their natural rights. As a result of this idea, the preamble to the Constitution was created. This section provided analysis as to what the whole Constitution was about; improvement on the current government (to ensure that they are just) and protection for its citizens.
