Your identity is who you are and the decisions you make. Without identity, you wouldn’t be who you are today. Your identity can change in a matter of seconds, and there is no way to ensure one's outcome In my life, I have had many events that make up my identity. One of the biggest events that have affected my life is when I had my first seizure. I was around 5 years old. It was around 5 at night, and I was at my babysitter’s house. That night when we were eating dinner, I know that I didn’t like the type of pizza it was because it was supreme. Once I had finished my breadstick, I was going to grab another one. In an instant, my babysitter, Laurie, had slapped my hand. I didn’t cry, but it did make me upset because she could have said no. After a couple of minutes, my vision got very blurry, and the only thing I could hear is a ringing noise. My body went numb, and all of a sudden everything went black. When I woke up I was on the floor with a throbbing headache. My babysitter had already called my mom, and she was already on her way to the house. My mom only worked a couple minutes away from her house so it didn’t take very long for her to get there. When she came inside the house, she looked scared. She kept asking me what happened, but I had no idea. She then grabbed a majority of my stuff and took me to the

Identity is the beliefs and values that a person holds that makes them different from others. One’s identity forms who they are, what they do, and why they do it. In my life, I have found my identity from my Christian faith, which stands on the teachings of Jesus Christ, who taught believers to always serve and love others. These lessons have shaped my identity into what it is today. A large part of my identity is my passion for serving and supporting others and I believe that what I have learned as a Christian has shaped my desire for placing others before myself.
As we grow up we must discover who we want to be and how we want to live, but the only way to do that is to discover our identity. Throughout literature, authors warn us that society has a damaging impact on our identities.

What is identity? When someone speaks of identity one might think of your action, habits, character, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or gender. However, when I think of identity, I think of where you come from and the things you learn that shape you into the person that you are today. I think identity is a collection of memories and interactions that we share with the people we encounter in our lifetime. I also believe your identity is something you develop about yourself that evolves over the course of your life. My family plays a big part in the person I am today. My great-grandmother was the woman who practically raised me. "She is without a doubt one of the most influential people in my life;" she taught me many life lessons at

Some of the things you experience in your life and people you meet will permanently change who you are are and shape your identity. However, there are also some experiences that you cannot let affect you or define you as a person and you need to move on and forget about them. In the stories that we have received there are many ways that they show how your identity is formed. There are also many experiences in my life that show how my own identity was formed and also prove that sometimes you can't help that experiences shape your identity, but sometimes you can brush them off and they will

The Oxford English dictionary, describes identity as “being who, or what a person is, and the characteristics determining who, or what that person is.” But, identity is much more complex than its dictionary definition. Although the word “identity” is used correctly in everyday discourse, its meaning is not captured by the definition.
Identity, according to Google, is the fact of being who or what a person or thing is. But according to Maalouf, “My identity is what prevents me from being identical to anybody else” (Maalouf 10). Identity can mean and consist of a variety of things and many factors can contribute and impact to who one is now compared to who one was back then or who they are going to be in the future. Identity can be very complex at times, having both interchangeable and traits and exchangeable ternal and internal influences. Depending on how one perceives identity, identity is given to someone to create for themselves rather than it being given to or born with.

Identity is what your life is based and built on. Identity is what shows who you are and what you do. Identity is also an important thing in your life because without it no one would know you are. Identity is very difficult to fully comprehend, but it is vital to the purpose of every man, woman, and child that has lived and ever will live on the earth. As precisely expressed by Erik Erikson, “In the social jungle of human existence, there is no feeling of being alive without a sense of identity.” As defined by Merriam-Webster, identity is “The distinguishing character or personality of an individual.” However, this definition falls short of the true meaning of the word, as it does not openly state the deciding factor for the perception of a person’s identity. For this reason, it is necessary to redefine the word in order to properly convey its meaning to those that do not fully understand it, as well as clarify by whom it is ascertained. Identity is how one perceives oneself, based primarily on the behaviors exhibited by this person.

To others, I may be a stranger, a nuisance, or even an enemy.
