When I think of the word "Health Science" I think of it as being a vast field of study, that pertains to our health as human beings. In this essay, I'm going to be talking about an important person who contributed to the history of Health Science. You may or may not know him but his name is Karl Landsteiner. In this essay, I'm going to be talking about his background, his discoveries, and his contributions pertaining to Health Sciences.

Analyze the dimensions of health and their interrelatedness, the impact of the determinants of health, and the dynamic nature of balance in life. P2. Evaluate choices and combinations of choices that can create barriers to achieving and maintaining health, and identify actions to improve health. P4. Develop approaches/tactics for creative problem solving and decision making. P7. Analyze a variety of strategies to achieve and enhance emotional and spiritual well-being. P9. Demonstrate and apply effective communication, conflict resolution and team-building skills. P10. Examine various attitudes, values and behaviours for developing meaningful interpersonal relationships. P11. Examine the relationship between commitment and intimacy in all its levels. P12. Examine aspects of healthy sexuality and responsible sexual behaviour. P13. Investigate how science, technology and media affect wellness. Finally, P14. Evaluate resources and support systems for each dimension of health and well-being for self and others (Alberta Education, 2002). Appendix A is a copy of the handout that would serve to help students not simply view this series, but allow them an opportunity to delve into and explore one of the characters and the choices that they made throughout the 13

I’ll admit, my knowledge and understanding of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed method approaches to research are areas I would like to strengthen. Chapter 1 provided a sound introduction and the foundational fundamentals. Therefore, I look forward to learning more through the direct application of the textbook.

The information presented in this course (RES-866-0500) has given me the core research designs for my dissertation. According to GCU (2013), the study designs and the associated data analysis discussed in this course provide opportunities for the novice researcher to practice the tools and techniques of data analysis through hands-on exercises. I don’t think finding a content expert will influence my research plans. However, I do believe that I must first get a clear direction of methodology in mind and lay out my topic with that method at that point. I believe there will be enough resources

My Bachelors degree in Health Sciences has allowed me to understand types of research and means of data collection such as longitudinal cohorts and the importance of social determinants of health in collecting and analysing data. I have also worked as a research assistant and participated in evaluating research results. These experiences will aid me in effectively assisting with the research.

I will take this class to gain an even better understanding of the functions of the human body. This class will go more in depth than a basic biology class. An understanding of all the human body systems is required to know how my specialty in the body, the nervous system, will affect other parts of the body and how other systems will affect it.

Throughout this assignment I intend to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of research methodology. I will examine how research is used to support practice and policy. I will address research terminology and the roles and responsibilities of the researcher. Our group research project will be critically analysed. Kumar (2001) implies research is more than a set of skills. Research is a way of thinking and examining the various aspects of your day-to-day professional work, understanding and formulating guiding principles that govern a particular procedure. After that we explained the methodology used in conducting the research. We discussed the population of the study, the sampling technique, sample size, methods of data collection, methods of data editing, and techniques of data analysis.
