There was such a variety of topics covered in this course and I wish that I had taken it in a classroom instead of online. With this online course, I feel like the material went a little too quickly. If I were in a classroom setting, I feel that
I liked everything about this course. The seminars, study plans, and the weekly discussions help
Did anything surprise you as you rated your school on the elements you learned about in the module? Please explain.
I really liked the story a lot at the beginning and then it just keep getting better
It surprised me that the program looked simple but once you start writing it was kind of hard involving a lot of thinking and
What have you learned from the assessment, guided reading, and tutoring experiences that you would be able to apply in your future classroom?
From day one, I noticed the relative ease of the course. The two friendly instructors welcomed the entire class, and they presented the material in a simple and comprehensible manner. My seven classmates and I bonded immediately. I recall
A6: As long as there are very clear instructions about what should I do in assignments and project Etc. I really don’t care about textbook.
11. If there is anything else that you would like to add please do so
Inventory: I am an independent learner, so this course is perfect for my learning style. I’m also a spatial learner which means I take in information by studying graphics. One way I would
You were not alone in feeling all the mix emotions that this course caused you to have because I too felt the same way. I do agree that this course was not what I expected but do agree that one thing we leave with is having a better understanding of cultural authenticity and being able to question a piece of literature prior to picking it up and sharing without reviewing first. Prior to this course I would never have given any Disney movie like “Brave” a second thought but now our minds will tend to be more aware of those types of things and will give us a great opportunity to have a teachable moment with the audience.
I think the course is very informative and practical. I enjoy your input given trough our weekly meetings and the ideas and opinions that are posted from other teachers in the discussion section. My only concern is the amount of reading assignments that we need to have done every week. It might be that I need to organize my self better. Overall I am enjoying the class. Thank you for the kindness and flexibility that you offer us in case of emergencies or difficult situations.
I must admit that I have always looked at this type of course as being a complete waste of time. After taking the Learning Connections Inventory, I've discovered that I'm a Dynamic Learner according to the results of the questionnaire. It's totally shed some light on the how, what, when and why of my success and failures in my educational as well as personal and professional life.
This course has taken me on a pleasant journey and taught me more about compassion and my role as a care giver than my previous courses. It has been rewarding to work with you (my instructor) and learn more about the older adult. The final chapter on delirium and dementia certainly taught me more skills than I had going into it. I haven't had any personal interaction with anyone who has had delirium or dementia yet. I now feel better equipped to deal with those situations now.
After viewing the video clips multiple times, I see many ways to improve the instruction and activities. Starting with Lesson 1 Video, I could have had a student summarize what was said in the video to assess what was comprehended from the video. I could have also stopped the video as predetermined spots to ask questions and further explain what the video states. Following up with questions and clarification would have been beneficial for the students who were confused. As for the Level Up Tutorial in video clip 1, I could have made paper copies of the tutorial questions for if the internet connection was not cooperating, which it wasn’t.
