My first reaction to the Clifton Strengths was a bit complicated. First, there were a series of questions that I had to answer in a certain amount of time. Initially, it was confusing because there were two sets of answers on different sides. I assume that I had to answer two different questions and this prolonged me to answering my responses in the beginning. As a result, this confusion led me to miss the first question. Then as the question was appearing on the screen, I could see how both strongly agree and disagree where correct for the question that was being stated. This situation led me into picking the one I had preferred. I thought my answers where going to be inaccurate for the test. However, I was still surprised that even though I was torn between two different answers my results were pretty accurate. I have discovered that I am gradually becoming a better person whether that academically or personal. I think that a person needs to know in essence what he or …show more content…
I feel like to me learning goes beyond being in a classroom. For example, in life, I take the lessons that were given to me and learn valuable lesson that I was supposed to learn. In essence, everything is a learning experience for me that I come in contact with or encounter. The one that describes me the most is the realtor. I feel like this is my personality theme. In the description it states that” I do not shy away from meeting new people but I prefer to be around the people that I know. I believe that to be true because again this reflects back to me being and introverted person. I like that way that each of the traits each are different for every individual. I think that the one that describe my personality is the realtor and the learner. I feel like they really reveal who I am as a person and they connect with personality. The realtor describes my introverted personality, and the learner gives my insight on life in
The purpose of the Clifton Strength Finder is identification of the unique and natural abilities you possess. The Clifton Strength Finder reveals my innate aptitude falls into the themes of connectedness, empathy, belief, relator, and developer. My personality is quite similar to who I am when describing myself. I am also a person who values other people and being surrounded by others. I am the one who makes tries to lighten the mood during a heavy or deep situation. I also tend to always put others before myself because I strive to help others find their happiness. I am definitely a fun and outgoing person. I love putting a smile on others’ faces and I love to laugh on a daily basis. Additionally, I am also quite serious, responsible, and well organized. Overall, I would say that I have a “go-getter” attitude/personality, but I am quite the lively person as well.
The personality type most different form mine is the artist. “The artist will do whatever works, whatever gives them a quick, effective payoff, even if they have to bend the rules” (Keirsey, n.d.). I find myself struggling with this personality because I like to play by the rule, not bend them. I like to take time and assess the best way to do
I would describe my personality as diligent, fun loving, and adaptive. I enjoy spending time with my friends and my sorority, yet I have taken on a position within that sorority that requires me to be on top of nearly all details taking place. I enjoy working hard to make sure everyone else has a smooth-running sorority experience. I like to go with the flow and enjoy like as it comes!
I am a person who is independent. I don’t rely on anyone but myself to achieve my goals. I let my own motivation push me to where I want to be in life. I love to be active in any way I can. For example, I was a three-sport athlete throughout high school. Most of my time is spend either mountain biking, hiking or playing sports. Another characteristic of myself would have to be awkward. This comes from the way I perceive life, lacking the social
This was interesting to me because it is very accurate to my personality. It also describes a
This immense diversity of experiences including the phase I am now going through, has shaped me into who I am today. I have become an even more mature, determined and understanding person, who is more driven than ever, while not losing sight of nicety and kindness as a living principle.
The personality trait I chose was independent. I chose this because I believe in finding a way to get things that I need or want on my own rather than having to wait for somebody else having to do things on there time then feeling like I owe them for what they gave me plus more.
As I met new people, became more honest with myself, and started following my own ideas and aspirations, I started moving to a higher level of self-actualization.
For the social type in which I scored high in the interest profiler instrument, I found the characteristic traits that best correlates with me included being "kind, sympathetic, understanding, helpful, responsible, and cooperative" which I found to be pretty accurate (Niles & Bowlsbey, 2017, p.55). People in the social type are known for performing occupations such as teacher, social worker, and counselor where they get to help and attend to people that are in need. For the artistic type in which I also scored high in, the characterisitic traits that I found that best fits me were "imaginative, independent, original, and expressive" (Niles & Bowlsbey, 2017, p.55). People in the artistic type are most known for doing work that represents freedom and self-expression where they're trying to tell a story. People in the realistic type are more hands on workers and they tend to lack social skills which leaves them to working in jobs such as a carpenter, mechanic, electrician, or an engineer. Even though I feel this personality type doesn't fit me, there are some characteristics that I do have from this such as being humble, genuine, and honest. People in the investigative type tend to be introverts where they search for certain things and figure it out on their own without having to talk to people about what they've found (Interest Profiler Score Report, 2017). I'm not investigative myself but some of the characteristics that I do have is being independent and reserved. People in the enterprising type are best known for "entailing manipulation of others to attain organizational or economic gain" (Niles & Bowlsbey, 2017, p. 55). People in this type have traits that include being optimistic, adventerous, high energy, extroverts, confident, attention grabers, and ambitious (Niles & Bowlsbey, 2017). They're more likely to do jobs where
The first subset of my personality is Extraversion, as opposed to Introversion. As an extrovert, I would describe myself as social, external and gregarious. This characteristic helps me communicate and reach out to others. However, there are cons that go along
The third section is called artistic. This sections describes a person by being one who enjoys self-expression. Someone who performs and artistic setting and someone who is a more original and creative thinker. Some characteristics of this type of personality is unique, emotional, expressive and more. I think I relate to some of these characteristics such as imaginative, expressive and idealistic. Though I like to have creative ideas to separate myself from others, I do not think this is the category that I most identify
Even though the path of improvement is not effortless, it is a path I enjoy greatly. I don't know much, but I embrace every learning experience that allow me to grow as a person. The reminder of all the teachings received in the past from children, parents, colleges , bosses, clients and strangers is a formidable way to live the present moment enjoying the learning received and conversely passing on your experiences to others. The learning path continues, yet, being able to enjoy every step of the way has made me the person I aspire to be.
The strongest representation of my personality in this test is “deliberative”. I am a very private and careful person. I do not like taking risks unless I am well informed on the pros and cons of the action. I do not allow myself to be very carefree in a sense. I prefer to keep a small circle of friends, and in short I am a very reserved person. This is an exact representation of my personality. I am an introvert, and
Some key personality concepts that define who I am is introvert, intuitive, intuitive feeling, and judging. Introverted intuition allows me to appreciate a better clarity of perception of inner unconscious techniques. It allows me to act spontaneously and insightful as original resolutions present themselves, on a case by case basis. Basically this means that I follow my intuition and not how I may sense something.
