Child labor is very demanding throughout many countries around the world, especially those were the economic status is not doing so well at the time. As in the United States there are some very strict laws and guidelines that the employers has to follow or they will get fined. The fines that the company may get are not cheap and increase each time they violate the law. As in fines, if the employers violates these laws that are put into place to protect children then can either get fined or even imprisonment if the Justice Department sees fit to do so. Child labor started very early in age in some countries and these children would find work with their parents mainly in the field work. “Child Labor was a social problem until the introduction of the Factory System” (World Book IN). The definition of Factory System went under its own change. Originally, it meant a working arraignment with corporation between numbers of people producing multiple articles of consumptions at a time. Now, the term factory refers to a large establishment that employs numerous workers that has involvement of mass production of industrial or consumer’s items. Some children will work in very harsh conditions which could include drug trafficking, prostitution and sometimes in some countries the young children will work in types of military position for their country. A lot of children work in many types of commercial business if they can. You would never believe what these children work in and it is not safe at all for the these children to be working in it, cause it is not safe for adults sometimes also. What’s not safe for adults should not be safe for children you would think? A lot of the work that these children work in are extremely hazardous and the children that will work in these conditions come from extremely poor families and they may also live in a low economic state also. Sometimes these children will work with either no pay at all for their hard work or just little pay for the jobs that they complete. It’s hard to believe that in our modern world today there are 168 million kids who are child laborers. Child labor is a serious problem happening worldwide, it takes kids under the age of seventeen and force them to work. This is a problem since it damages kids' health physically and mentally, in addition it is damaging their future from such an early start. Child labor should be illegal worldwide because of the hazardous conditions, long working hours, and the low pay. It is unfair that these children have no choice in working as well as having their childhood taken away from them.

Child labor is the use of children in industry or business. In other words child labor is violating the age limit for work that threatens a kid mentally or physically. Sadly there are one hundred sixty-eight million unlucky kids who are stuck in it.

Imagine seeing a very young child working 10-16 hours a day. Who are malnurtured and are working and living in unbearable condition. Sadly, this is a reality for most children in child labor. Child labor is not healthy for children because it destroys their childhood. Many children receive no education because they have to work all the time, meaning, many adults also become unemployed because of this. On the other hand, many people believe that child labor is not negative for children, they believe if the child's parents cannot work, a child can do it for the family to survive. In conclusion, child labor is not a good alternative for kids because it ruins the meaning of a childhood, it leads to unemployment for young adults, and does not supply an education for these children.
There are over 150 million children under the age of 18 that are a part of some sort of child labor.
