Bronte, I am extremely disappointed in your behaviour. Your father rung me as soon as he found the house empty and the twins crying out for you. You should've considered your actions and what risks you were taking. If you had talked to me, we would've been able to negotiate the party and you may have been able to go. If you don't communicate with me, you won't even have a chance of being able to go to parties in the future. You left the house with two nine year olds… ALONE! If someone were to break in, one of the girls hurt themselves or one of them got extremely sick, you wouldn't of been there! You only thought about yourself and you didn't consider why I asked you to baby sit them in the first place. Also, what would you have done if Sophie's …show more content…
When I was your age, I lived 2 hours away from my high school and I was never able to hang out with my friends late at night as it took ages to get back home. You took the first suggestion that was given to you, without thinking about the consequences. I would've done the same thing, but like you, I had responsibilities' at home, so sneaking out of the house wasn't an option. Even though I understand, it doesn't mean it makes it ok. Next time you feel that you need to go out with your friends late at night, you should talk to me. You may not always be able to go but we can do our best to make things work. I know our situation isn't great but it doesn't mean you need to make bad decisions. If you want to go out instead of babysitting the twins in the future, that is ok! We can easily hire a baby sitter but you need to tell me first! You need to think through all of your actions and the consequences of those actions. I am here for you, that's what mums do! I'm sorry I work so late at night, I promise if a new spot opens up during the day I will see if I can take

You might be wondering why my baby is on the wall. She is one crazy little girl. Her name is Lily Preston and she’s 3 yrs old and loves her duckie named poonie. I’m Dave and i’m 36. It’s just me and lily at the house now. Lily’s mother died when giving birth but I have to stay strong and be the best single father I can be. I had a huge business meeting at work today so I had to hire a babysitter for lily and it’s kinda scary to leave a new stranger in your house with your child alone. The babysitter turns out to be an amazing girl, she is 17, has great education and grades, has a job, can drive, is trustworthy and her name is Amanda. When I got back from work around 5pm, Amanda told me that Lily was playing in her room and that she was leaving.
We wanted to go in our own little clique before we all left and went back to the country we lived in. Our older cousins had left and since Jenin did not have anybody to go and cling herself on, so she decided to go see us. As she came in we were discussing the plan for the night. We did not want her to know anything about it, so Alex and I started speaking in French while texting Ahmad the information. Jenin tried to speak to us but we ignored her, she got bored up of us and left the room 5 minutes later. She seemed as if she was about to cry and I felt horrible about the way I had acted towards her. My cousins seemed indifferent about it and told me that she was a diva, and that she was complaining earlier. As I left the room and walked to the dooryard, she was whining to my dad about something. I believed it must have been because my older cousins left and told her to stay at home. We talked to our family about going out , they were aware that we were going to go out, but they all told us to take Jenin and her brother. We discussed with them and told them we just wanted to go out by ourselves. It took us time to convince them but we finally got a drive. Ahmad talked to Jenin’s mom explaining the situation and she seemed

The curious life Emily Bronte, author of Wuthering Heights and a collection of poems, has been highly analyzed alongside those of her sisters and fellow writers, Charlotte and Anne, for decades. Born in 1818, Emily was the fifth of six children born to Patrick and Maria Bronte. Her father was curate of Haworth parsonage in Yorkshire, England, a home for local clergymen, where Emily spent nearly all of her life. The lonely parsonage offered few companions for Bronte besides her family, but included a large library which consumed her childhood. Bronte never married, and much of her later life was filled with caring for her alcoholic brother, Branwell. This solitary life and experience with Branwell seems to have heavily influenced Wuthering Heights, the only novel written by Bronte, which centers on a similar setting of isolated, lonely households and contains a heavily alcoholic character.
We'll both get used to me going out." Many children do hate a mother's going out because they are jealous of the time she spends away from them. But you can say that "Mommy has to have her time as you have yours," and you can make a contract to spend certain evenings with them that are family evenings only. Remember, your children should not control your life. They may try to make you feel as guilty as possible, but don't let them. If your first conversation with them fails, or if it only brings out anger, try another talk at a later date. One woman's two boys, aged fourteen and seventeen, were complaining about her going out with her women friends. ("Where are you? You're out so much!"), and she began to fear they'd really raise the roof if she began
But anyways, I was driving down the street some more and it was around 7:30 which is the time every kid in my neighborhood is out.
The Brontës were a group of siblings who greatly influenced the world of literature and poetry with their works. The six Brontë children were born one to two years apart, and four of them were to later take on a career as a juvenile author (Winnifrith 6). The Brontë sisters spent much of their time writing and publishing poems under several aliases, and they then began working on what would later make them famous (Winnifrith 8). The sisters, along with their brother Branwell Brontë, were considered to be an eccentric and creative group of people, leaving behind a legacy of powerful and poignant literary and artistic pieces (Paddock 7). The Brontës published works such as Agnes Grey, Wuthering Heights, and Jane Eyre, each of which became extremely
In “Jane Eyre”, Charlotte Bronte presents relatives Aunt Reed and Mr Mason as “cruel” in regards to their treatment of their family members, Aunt Reed sentencing Jane to the red room and Mr Mason allowing Bertha to be locked in the attic. However, the reader only understands the effects of Aunt Reed’s actions, through the use of older Jane’s narrative-monologue, which is present throughout this extract. “I was a discord in Gateshead; I was like nobody there; I had nothing in harmony with Mrs Reed or her children”, older Jane is looking back at her younger self, Bronte uses an extended metaphor by describing Jane as a “discord” in relation to the Reed families “harmony”, this highlights Jane’s feelings of being an unwanted outsider. Furthermore, the phrase” “;I was like nobody there;”, is separated from the rest of the text, like Jane is from the family and perpetuates her feelings of loneliness and being unwanted, she is “nobody” to them and overlooked similar to this brief sentence hidden between semi-colons.
I am so very sorry mother and father. I know that I acting very childlike and carefree on the night in question. I have completely and honestly learned my lesson. I can completely assure you that this dumb mistake will happen again. that I will not. Considering that I have learned my lesson, I am asking for a more lenient rule change. On Saturday, my associates are going to be out; after than 11:00 pm. I would very much appreciate it if I could hang with them until then. This is my first offense on this scale that I have ever made, considering that I feel that I could be given another chance a redemption.
Parents and kids always have this argument about if a kid can go out somewhere with their friends. As kids we understand that our parents are just protecting us from the dangers of the outside but sometimes a little bit too much. As teenagers we want to go out have some fun with our friends but when we ask our parents they give excuses on why we shouldn’t go out such as its too late in the day to go out, another time or no because you haven’t spend time with your family. I believe that kids should have the right to go out with their friends.
