7 Is RIP considered to be a fast or slow converging protocol? Slow converging protocol
For the simple 3 router network (Figure 1), fill in the information that would be in each router’s routing table once the network has converged (see example in Chapter 4, pages 192-193).

Rip focuses on himself mostly as a romantic hero, while he does help neighbors and enjoys the company
4. Which of the following routing protocols are considered to be capable of converging quickly? D, E,F
There are many protocols that should be taken into account for nodes to communicate effectively over a network. There are several different protocols that should be considered such as how packets are transmitted, how the destination of the packet is identified, and are there any security issues.
My name is Nihar Shah. I am taking CST 208- Introduction to networking in this semester. I am going to write about my networking background in this paper. I am going to provide some information newly learned. Firstly, I would talk about what is a network. In information technology, a network is the interconnection of a set of devices capable of communication. In this definition, a device can be a host such as a large computer, desktop, laptop, workstation, cellular phone, or security system. A device in this definition can also be a connecting device such as a router, which connects the network to other networks, a switch, which connects devices together, a modem, which changes the form of data, and so on. Secondly, I would like to talk about some topologies like the bus, star, token ring, and mesh topologies. Thirdly, I would talk about hubs, switches, routers, and modems.
The source route does not involve IP addresses; instead, the source route is encoded as an ordered list of segments.
This is all connected together in a network in order to deliver a very well Service. Therefore, topologies of network are defined as the schemes of joining a number of computers in the form of network. Two or more computers and devices are connected together to link for a data communication. The topology of network is considered as the geometric representation of the relationship of all the links and nodes (communication devices) to one another.
According to the book ‘Top down network design’ by Priscilla, and research by Pandya supports that a network is a group of devices connected together. There are many types of computer networks like, local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), campus area network (CAN), home area network (HAN), metropolitan-area network (MAN). Topology is the geometric arrangement of the computer system. The common topologies are bus, star, ring, mesh etc. Network topology refers to the physical or logical layout of a network. It defines the way different nodes are placed and interconnected with each other. Network topology describes how the data is transferred between these nodes. There are two types of network topologies: physical and logical. Physical topology emphasizes the physical layout of the connected devices and nodes, while the logical topology focuses on the pattern of data transfer between network nodes. This paper investigates how different types of topologies work, its advantages and disadvantages.
The path instability index denoted by ‘Ψ’ indicates how instable is the link. Hence lower the value of Ψ, better the path. The source node on receiving the RREP packet from multiple routes selects the route with lowest path instability index and initiates the data transmission. The other routes are stored in the path cache in the ascending order of the path instability index.
Stop the update from being spread to the network, if there is any router inter interface connected to internet. Use the; passive interface; command. This command will prevent the interface from forwarding any RIP broadcast and will be able to listen to other interface in RIP. “Write Router (config-router) #passive-interface” followed by “INTTYPE INTNUMBER” where, INTTYPE is the type of the interface, such as Serial, Fast Ethernet, or Ethernet and INTNUMBER is the
Assign a hop count number for each datagram. Before transmitting the datagram from the sending computer, the exact number of hops is set to a datagram. On reaching each router, the

The network was created in Mininet. It consists of 12 hosts and 8 OpenV switches. It uses the external controller which is selected in Mininet python code.
Our algorithm performs at each iteration, a basic change in the network by rerouting the traffic to the destination from the given source by finding an alternate path thereby reducing the load on the common link. As a result a single entry change in the routing table is performed, which is very important for the stability of the network.
The structure of this paper will lay out what I already know about networks, what I want to know or what I want to learn, a research portion in which I found some information to suffice what I want to learn, the process of my search
