Global View: Buddhism;
According to Buddha, the key to happiness and fulfillment is to detach yourself from all worldly goods and desires.
The reason why Buddhists take special caution to avoid killing another living being, is because of their idea of rebirth. Many Buddhists believe that once a living being has died, they will be reborn and continue to live on.
Christianity;
Jesus Christ is the central of Christian religion because, without Jesus humanity itself would be dead from sin.
Christians hope they can reach salvation through the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Hinduism;
The Ganges River is very significant in the religion Hinduism, because it is believed that bathing in the water cleanses

The Five Pillars of Islam are lifelong acts of worship, which includes faith, prayer, almsgiving (charity), fasting, and a pilgrimage to Mecca.
Judaism
The Western Wall, is part of the courtyard from Second Temple of Jerusalem which was destroyed by the Romans in A.D. 70. The Jews make this structure to be so sacred, because it is what’s left from the roots of the Jewish religion.
A rabbi is a Jewish teacher, and has the role of being spiritual leader and teacher, a rabbi also leads spiritual services in Jewish culture.

Confucius believed that society should be organized through five basic relations; the relation between a ruler and a subject, the relation between a father and a son, the relation between a husband and a wife, the relation between an older brother and a younger brother, and finally friend between a friend.

In 1596- Abraham Ortelius took note that the coastlines of the continents seemed to be too fitting together. He initiated a theory that stated that the continents were probably joined at one point in time and were torn apart between Europe and Africa. In the year of 1912, Alfred Wegener stated that the continents were once joined in a supercontinent called Pangea.

In what ways do documents such as these help historians to understand history? In the end, what were the main reasons for dropping these two weapons on Japan?
Chapter three is about early Africa and Egypt. Africa is divided into five sections by climatic and vegetative differences. The five sections were: Mediterranean, Sahel, Deserts, rainforest and savannah. Depending on the climate section in which they lived, the range of people in Africa urbanized special ways of being. The chapter also talked about the people that lived during this time. The first group was called the Khoisan. Initially they populated the eastern part of Africa. The next groups were called the Nilo-Saharan and Afro-Asiatic. At first regions by the Nile River valley were occupied. The final group was called Niger-Congo. They occupied the forests of western Saharan Africa over the wet phase.
Geography played a big role in determining the political units and economic institutions of Mediterranean society. The mountains interspersed throughout the Greek peninsula led to regionalism in the form of city-states. This was a departure from the centralized government of China. The fact that civilization developed along a peninsula also shaped Mediterranean culture. The ocean provided some protection from invaders and allowed for the advancement of trade.

1. Humans first appeared on Earth during the Paleolithic Era. The evidence of burial grounds, stone tools, and other items shows a general migration path of humans out of Africa, and support the theory that these groups were nomadic hunters and foragers. Early humans were mobile and could adapt to different geographical settings from savannah to Ice Age tundra. Anthropologists infer that these bands were relatively egalitarian.
Different classical civilizations often stressed similar values and issues. Classical civilizations were all constantly trying to unify their people to form a shared culture. They also tried to expand their empires. They would try to unify people through politics, religion, and philosophy. They promoted a common language and social structures for people to follow. Classical civilizations used many methods involving integration and expansion in their empire.

Have you ever had an argument with someone over the same idea because you both interpreted it differently? This has happened many times throughout history, leading to the existence of a variety of philosophies within different cultures. Many groups of people throughout history looked to traditional values and laws to create new ones. This was no different 3,000 years ago for the Jews or the Confucians. Confucians and Jews believed in the same values on relationships and acquired those values from similar philosophies, but they differed drastically in their interpretation of these values.
