Week Two Discussion: Annotated Bibliography
Research Question: Why do shoppers prefer shopping online from Amazon Inc compared
to other online retail stores?
Chetioui, Y., Lebdaoui, H., & Chetioui, H. (2021). Factors influencing consumer attitudes toward online shopping: the mediating effect of trust. [Consumer attitudes toward online shopping] EuroMed Journal of Business, 16(4), 544-563. https://doi.org/10.1108/EMJB-
05-2020-0046
Summary
Chetioui et al., 2021 attempted to add further knowledge about consumers’ attitudes toward online shopping. The authors started the research with previously known knowledge, such as the quality of products, shopping platform security, availability of products, better price, shipping, and handling process, etc., which correlates with online shopping adoption. The paper expands the existing knowledge base with additional variables such as trust and the current or prior customers’ positive or negative statements and opinions called “electronics word of mouth [eWOM] (ACNielsen, 2008)”. In the paper, the authors proposed and researched an integrated model to show that trust mediates the known advantages above to increase consumers’ online shopping adoption. The authors summarized that positive eWOM could ease online shoppers’ apparent fear of risk and boost customers’ trust, increasing online shopping adoption.
Evaluation
The paper is peer-reviewed and addresses the trust and attitude toward online shopping in
emerging markets. This research will help to extend the previously researched knowledge
bases in the field by introducing new variables and studying their impact on e-commerce 1
business and its growth. It is also helping to imagine new questions that can be further investigated. The authors acknowledge its limitations as they only considered three variables during the study and suggested further research by adding more independent variables. The data was collected on the specific socioeconomic profile or country and those already adopted online shopping in their experience. The authors suggested conducting the research with a scientifically randomized and larger sample of data that will represent diverse populations to explore differences in new findings and outcomes.
Application
The journal is peer-reviewed and will provide me insight into the study of Amazon Inc’s dominance in the e-commerce sector. I have research questions to understand and answer what is playing a significant role in online retailers’ emergence, its growth and is widely accepted by their targeted users and also by investors who believe in the mission and vision statement execution to put their money and resources for its success hoping to earn
a decent return over their investment. This journal is helpful for my research because it focuses on factors that drive shoppers to specific online retailers, vendors, or merchants compared to others. Reflection of my experience writing an annotated bibliography
I learned the importance of writing annotated bibliography before starting actual research.
This teaches new learners to figure out how to take notes during literature reviews and organize notes taken based on their sources and categories. This will help me to develop the critical thinking skills needed to be successful during research. This exercise will save
time for myself and anyone who might use it later after the study to reproduce the 2

My opinion- Internet has changed the traditional way of people shopping and buying goods. Every brick-and-mortar shop is trying to create their online presence; not only that, even small business owners who are starting their business are choosing online platforms. Not only in metro cities or urban areas but also in villages people are shopping online. I believe many factors lead a consumer to shop online. I would like to explore the reasons people shop online and the future of E-commerce in the coming years.
Please help me elaborate this question.
I have provided my opinion if someone can add some facts and elaborate the same to 1000/1200 words.

Paraphrase this one.
Within the bustling retail sector, a domain brimming with extensive customer data both online and in brick-and-mortar establishments, predictive analytics finds its stride. Online consumer activity, as tracked through cookies, and in-store navigation patterns stand as just a couple of the myriad data points gathered. Customer contact information at point-of-sale, social media interactions, purchasing histories, and visitation patterns further enrich this data mosaic. Harnessing the potential of predictive analytics, retailers extract maximum value from this treasure trove of information. This encompassing utilization spans from optimizing inventory and projecting revenue to delving into behavior analytics, targeted shopper engagement, and the vigilant detection of fraudulent activities.

Question: Read the below paragraph and write a short review beyond agreeing or disagreeing the paragraph
Marketers should build long-term relationships with the customers so that there will be trust between customers and the company. Building trust and customer relationships require a great deal of work, but ultimately, they pay off over the long term. People need to trust a brand before buying from it, and that trust comes from repeat transactions with the brand over time. A well-designed marketing automation system uses marketing analytics to track and analyze the entire marketing process from the first touch to purchase (Bi, 2019). It collects and analyzes data and then uses this data to drive the business's overall marketing efforts. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems are an essential element of the marketing function. In a typical CRM system, information is stored in a database about past, current, and potential customers. This information is then used to communicate…
