Don & Associates Cloud Transition (Proposal) Don & Associates Financial Solutions has grown since its start in 2012. With the company's growth comes the need to expand its locations and services to help its ever-growing customer base better. Don & Associates is seeking an innovative solution to reduce operational expansion costs. Statement of Need The current need for expansion to better serve customers is vital. The expansion raises concerns about the fiscal heaviness incurred upon its continued growth. The fiscal concern for the expansion includes:  Operational Costs of Expansion o Acquisition of additional equipment costs  Maintenance of physical equipment o Additional personnel to maintain equipment.  Additional space is required for personnel.  Additional space for equipment When addressing the need for cloud services for Don & Associates expansion, we first must understand the types of cloud delivery models and services provided by the cloud. There are four primary types of cloud delivery services: Public - The most common model, used by the general public. Private - For use of a single organization. Community - For specific communities of interest, shared by companies with similar requirements (i.e. medical, financials, or government organizations. Hybrid - When multiple cloud infrastructures are being used. Cloud service models are divided into three categories: Software as a Service (SaaS) – example of service is Google Doc or Office 365 Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) – examples are Amazon EC2 Platform as a Service (PaaS) – examples include Google App Engine Cloud Service Providers  Amazon Web Services (AWS) AWS is a cloud computing platform provided by Amazon that offers a range of services. AWS provides organizations with tools such as computing power, database storage, and content delivery services. The platform is comprehensive and constantly evolving.
