EDUC642 Pre-Observation Conference A conference between supervisor Bugs Bunny and Professor John will be held in room Lg1 on Thursday, March 7, at 3:00 pm during your conference period. This conference will review some of the classroom observations supervisor Bunny has seen in John's classroom and key takeaways. RSVPs will be sent to your school email account. Some key takeaways in the observation were overall an excellent performance. The first observation I saw was on getting students to interact with the experiment, each other, and most of your guided questions. I liked how the students could determine what was happening within a controlled group. Secondly, the little details of assignments that further their investigation of how the experiment connects with liquids and gasses as a teacher with experience connecting the dots toward your other works are critical to a complete circle learning assignment, which takes me to my last observation. This was the summarization of the assignment: a group discussion to share and a paper discussing what happened in key strategic points to see if they had joint agreements; a great understanding is when multiple students get the same results. Firstly, he engages his students effectively, creating an interactive and stimulating learning environment. This engagement fosters active participation and enhances student comprehension.Secondly, the professor encourages freedom to make mistakes and teaches students to learn from them in a fun way. He promotes a safe space for exploration and growth through group discussions or classroom activities. Lastly, the professor excels at involving students in their learning process and connecting the dots between concepts. This approach deepens understanding and empowers students to take ownership of their education. These qualities demonstrate the professor's dedication to creating a dynamic and enriching educational experience for his students. Questions to be answered :
EDUC642 - How can safety issues be addressed in the lab? - What are the protocols for the grading rubric? - How can students properly follow instructions? Post-Observation Conference Bugs Bunny: Good afternoon, Mr. John; how are you? Mr.John: I am doing fine, thank you. How are you? Bugs Bunny: I am doing well. Thank the Lord, Mr John. I thank you most for taking the time to meet me here. I will keep this short as time is valuable. I saw some positive things about your teaching philosophies and methods that every teacher, no matter what subject, should see from your lab to infuse into their classrooms. It is immensely engaging, but I would like every genre to learn some of these teaching methods freely so they can also teach a classroom. I did have some concerns, so I will start with some questions if that's okay. Mr.John: Thank you so much for the words and compliments. I will be happy to answer anything that you can think of. Questions: Bugs Bunny Q: When the students initially conducted some of the hypotheses, how were they guided to ensure they were starting correctly toward the project and going toward the next steps accordingly? Mr.John A : In the initial steps, the students read the instructions of the experiment worksheets, and one of the groups was brought up towards the front of the class to demonstrate what the students had to do. Also, students were paired into some detail pairing resemblance of grade in the class so I could walk around and help the students not so fortunate of understanding keep up without jeopardizing steps in their learning. Bugs Bunny Q: There was an engagement there where there was testing on rubbing alcohol and hot water being used at one point. Did parents receive any wavers, or were they notified about this lab for legal purposes for the student's actions? Mr.John A : Parents received a waiver from the students either by hand or virtually, letting them know that students would have this lab. The form mentioned that we would have to rub alcohol
