Explanation of Assumptions
Reading through numbers of some companies and looking at the impact of a subscription service through my various services, about 80% of consumers are more likely to be retained if offered a rewards
or subscription service. Those customers will spend more on new purchases and more likely to return. Sources predicted about a 10%-20% increase in sales based off a reward system alone so I split the difference at 15% for some of the 24 month projections with a 30% projected increase in sales due to the increased customer engagement and detailed recommendations based on customer data.

Problem Statement: Hotel Booking System
You are working in a team which is developing a web application related to online room(s) booking in a chain of hotels. This would facilitate our existing customers, as well as potential new customers, in booking rooms and itinerary prior to their arrival. This would not only enable them to be more comfortable (because they would know that hotel room of their choice is already booked) but also increase the chances of maximizing hotel room bookings and minimizing the load on front desk receptions of our hotels.
It would require the customers to get registered by simply providing some basic information of themselves like First Name (any string of 10 alphabets), Last Name (any string of 10 alphabets), Passport Number (any alphanumeric string of 8 chars) and Age (age must be 18 or above).
During the room-booking process, the user is required to select the room type via dropdown i.e. Single (1-2), Double (2-3), Quad (4-6). Then user can search…

Question:
Develop a problem statement for the scenario given below by considering the variables involved?
Suppose you are a manager of a beverage company. You have recently witnessed a sudden decrease in sales. It has been widely accepted that due to Covid-19, the purchasing power of consumers has been declined. On the other hand in such situations, sales personnel avoid roaming for selling to avoid contact. The sudden decrease in the number of hours work and alternate shifts due to Covid-19 SOPs also resulted in a low-profit margin. You have to figure out the actual reason for the decline in sales as a manager.

The cost for idle equipment is $500 per day.
a) What quantity of spares should be stocked?
b) Assume the supplier of the parts offers a 20 % discount (all units discount) for purchasing five
units or more. Do you think the order quantity will be different? If yes, propose the new order
