Permanent Address: The IP address assigned to mobile node is called permanent address . This is the address of the device in its home network and to which mobile node data-grams are always sent. The IP address of a mobile node at home is a permanent address.
Care-Of Address: A supplementary, provisional address is used by mobile node when a person travels away from the home network. It is usually a 32-bit IP address, but is only used by Mobile IP to forward IP data-grams and administrative features. Higher layers never do it, and when creating data-grams regular IP devices do not. When user visit a place user is having a care-of-address.
