In the cardiac cycle, blood from systemic circulation reaches the right atrium first. Blood is returned from all body tissues by systemic circulation. When the right atrial contracts, the majority of the blood that was still in the atrium is forced into the right ventricle.  The majority of the blood then, therefore, moves from the right atrium into the right ventricle.
