- Nowadays, a lot of everyday objects, like roller coasters, cars, elevators, and ovens, are really computers or information systems. Normally, you wouldn't connect them to a computer or information system. There are benefits without a doubt, but what about possible disadvantages? Do you think you would feel more or less at ease riding a computer-controlled roller coaster, just as an example? The issue of whether potential benefits outweigh potential downsides arises when more and more commonplace tasks are computerized. In that case, why not?The usage of computers and information systems is now prevalent in many common items such as amusement park rides, automobiles, elevators, and ovens, among other things, that you would not usually connect with computers or information systems. There are certain advantages, but are there any dangers as well? If, for example, you were riding a roller coaster that was computer controlled, would you feel more or less at ease? Alternatively, would you feel secure enough traveling in a Tesla with the auto-drive function turned on? What are the advantages and disadvantages of computerizing a growing number of daily objects? Do the potential benefits outweigh the risks? What is the reason for this or why is it not?Efforts have been made to push the envelope in augmented reality. Offer examples if you may.
- As the evidence on the adverse effects of cigarette smoke grew, people tried many different ways to quit smoking. Some people tried chewing tobacco or, as it was called, smokeless tobacco. A small amount of tobacco was placed between the cheek and gum. Certain chemicals from the tobacco were absorbed into the bloodstream and gave the sensation of smoking cigarettes. This prompted studies on the adverse effects of smokeless tobacco. One study in particular used 40 university students as subjects. Twenty were given smokeless tobacco to chew, and twenty given a substance that looked and tasted like smokeless tobacco, but did not contain any of the harmful substances. The students were randomly assigned to one of the groups. The students' blood and heart rate were measured before they started chewing and 20 minutes after they had been chewing. A significant increase in heart rate occurred in the group that chewed the smokeless tobacco. Answer the following questions. a. What type of study…MAKE IT PARAGRAPH FORM During the Foundation days, we have engaged in prayer and worship services that reflect the congregation's devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These services often include the celebration of Mass. The CICM has a strong tradition of education and research, and during the Foundation Days, there may be events or exhibits showcasing the congregation's contributions to scientific knowledge, and we, as students, have participated in those activities. We also attended specialized science programs, labs, and equipment that provided students with a solid foundation in scientific knowledge and skills. The Foundation Days often involve celebrations of the CICM's missionary work. We also attended those presentations to enhance our knowledge about the motto. We also participated in activities promoting social responsibility and civic engagement with the school authorities.TOPIC : Visual Sensory system, Auditory and Cognition, Human-Computer Interaction; Decision Making and Display DesignSelf-service has long been a way of selling run by various companies. - Figure below shows an aerial view of the car park managed by a parking company. You have been approached by the company to develop a computer vision system that can be used to identify vacant parking lots. Figure 3 iv) Another common issue faced by car park visitors is the difficulty in locating their vehicle when the car park is full. You are asked to extend the current system to be able to locate the general location of a specific vehicle. Describe two modifications (or approaches) that can be applied to the current system to locate a specific vehicle. In your answer, also discuss the factors that would affect the performance of the system with your proposed approach.Experimental research methods-what do they mean? Please describe its key aspects using the best example. If you are to become a scientist, what would you like to invent? Why would you like to invent it?
- Computer Science A problem with using a production system to control robots is the Qualification Problem – trying to predict all of the things in the environment that can prevent the robot from successfully completing the task and developing actions the robot can execute in order to complete the task. A friend of mine used to maintain the robots for the paintshop at GM. One of their problems was making sure the robots were all using the same colour of paint on the car. The paint was manually loaded into reservoirs by humans and occasionally the wrong colour paint was loaded (by mistake or on purpose). Sometimes the vehicles came off the production line as car of many colours. a. Excluding the loading of the wrong colour mentioned above, what are five external events that could cause these robots to stop their task or do the task incorrectly? Is it possible for the robot to solve each problem without human intervention? If so, how? - if not, why not? b. People used to do this job.…Computer Science Scenario: Suppose you were to let your friend use your computer for a couple of hours in order for them to complete their homework assignments. What kind of precautions would you take before letting them use your computer? In those precautions, what is the logic behind your reasoning? How would your precautions change if this computer was being used by the general public instead?Numerous ordinary devices, such as amusement park attractions, automobiles, elevators, and ovens, among others, are now connected to a computer or information system. While there are certain advantages, are there also risks? For instance, would you feel more or less secure riding a computer-controlled roller coaster? Or would you feel secure enough traveling in a Tesla equipped with auto-drive? Do the advantages of expanding the computerization of common things outweigh the risks? What are your reasons for or against?
