  • SIGNS: vyo is up and ay is down and the rock falls down - opposite directions mean opposite signs. I'd call vyo positive, and both ay and y negative
  • you'll end up with a quadratic equation to solve
 
B) If a water balloon is thrown STRAIGHT DOWN at 5 m/s from the top of a 33 m building, how long will it take to hit the ground?
