Communication
It may be understood as a process through which an individual or group of individuals tend to exchange their thoughts or ideas in an organization with a view to attaining mutual harmony.
Communication Process
It may be understand as a sequence of activities or actions that are carried out to have a successful communication.
As far as the communication process is concerned, it can broadly be categorized into seven elements. These elements are as follows:
Sender: A sender may be identified as an individual who is going to convey the message with the aim of communicating the relevant piece of information to other individuals.
Ideas: It involves the content of the message which is meant to be conversed or communicated. The subject matter could either be an opinion, order, feeling, or attitude.
Encoding: One cannot witnesses or see the subject matter of communication tangibly. The communication process often involves specific symbols that could be words, pictures, actions, and so on. The process which enables the person to convert the subject matter (thoughts, etc.) into communication is referred to as Encoding.
Communication channel: The individual who expects to communicate a certain message opts for a particular communication channel which can either be formal or informal considering the prevalent situation.
