Question

Explain the term Problem recognition?

Expert Solution
Step 1

The decision-making process starts from the minds of the customers. This process involves figuring out what the customer wants first. Sales and after-sales services may affect customer satisfaction and lead to repeated purchases.

Step 2

Problem recognition is the initial phase in consumer decision making. This is the result of a mismatch between the desired condition and the actual satisfaction. The customer decides which product to buy and what not to do. A customer understands that a product is compatible, but the actual condition of the product may vary. They do not have the identification of purchasing options, the presentation and description of the products, the decision to meet their needs and expectations, and the knowledge that will lead to the return of the purchased goods. Without identifying a problem, a customer does not need to make a decision, so recognizing these problems and communicating how to solve them is important for business fulfillment. In many problem-solving situations, users have enough problem definition to work with.
