Hooper, Johnson Jones. An American writer of stories; born in North Carolina in 1815; died in 1862. He was a lawyer in Alabama. He wrote: ‘Adventures of Captain Simon Suggs’; ‘Widow Rugby’s Husband, and Other Alabama Tales.’
