Watson, Henry Clay. An American journalist and writer of historical stories; born in Baltimore, 1831; died in Sacramento, CA, July 10, 1869. He was the author of: ‘Camp-Fires of the Revolution’ (1851); ‘Nights in a Block-House’ (1852); ‘Old Bell of Independence’ (1852); ‘The Yankee Teapot’ (1853); ‘Heroic Women’ (1853); ‘The Masonic Musical Manual’ (1855); ‘Camp Fires of Napoleon’ (1856); and ‘Lives of the Presidents’ (1858).
