Charles Graham Halpine (1829–1868)

Halpine, Charles Graham [“Miles O’Reilly”]. An Irish-American miscellaneous writer; born in Ireland, 1829; came to this country at age twenty-three; died in 1868. He was a New York journalist and served through the Civil War. His writings include: ‘Lyrics’; ‘Poems’; ‘Miles O’Reilly Papers’; ‘Life and Adventures of Private Miles O’Reilly’; ‘Baked Meats of the Funeral’; ‘Poetical Works’; etc.
