Adolf von Harnack (1851–1930)

Harnack, Adolf. A German theologian; born at Dorpat, Russia, May 7, 1851; died in 1930. His principal work in the ‘History of Dogma’ (3rd ed. 1894–98). He also wrote ‘The Apostles Creed’ (1892); ‘History of Early Christian Literature’ (1893); ‘What is Christianity?’; ‘Introduction to the New Testament’ (1906).
