Dreaming

By Sándor Petőfi (1823–1849)

Translation of Sir John Bowring

IS it a dream that shows me

Yonder vision airy?

Is she a mortal maiden?

Is she a spirit fairy?

Whether maiden or fairy,

Little indeed I care,

Would she only love me,

Smiling sweetly there.
