For centuries, women have been confined to restrictive behaviors until the rise of the sexual revolution in the 1960’s. This movement gave way to new ideas and attitudes not only about a woman’s role in society but also about their sexual identities. For the first time, women were able to freely act out their desires and seek their own personal pleasures. Her theory, “If women have adapted, then although they may take part in casual sex less often than men because of their stricter criteria when selecting partners, they should rate the experience positively” (Campbell, 2008) was tested by surveying a total of 1,743 men and women after they had a one night stand. Participants filled out an online survey
