These players are simply too immature to understand to concept of properly investing their money and financial planning. They honestly believe that the money will continue to poor into their bank account. They do not realize that once their playing days are over their income becomes zero. It comes back to a problem that many young people have where they are just thinking about the here and now and not what is going to happen five to ten years from now. This is a problem for many young people and their spending habits why should a professional athlete be any different.

Although athlete’s put in an extraordinary amount of time and effort, they do not deserve to make tens of millions of dollars. These athletes make more money than the men and women that risk their lives to protect our lives. There are children starving all over the world, and these athletes are getting paid millions of dollars to play sports.

NFL players get paid $420,000 a week. They get paid about 135 million dollars in 5 years. You buy your tickets and are looking for the place you get to see. The crowd is roaring inside the big stadium. The smoke is rising as your favorite football team walks out onto the field. When these athletes that go into retirement without planning they have to file bankruptcy or take out loans.
