Who is at fault for the death of Romeo and Juliet ? William Shakespeare love and a secret marriage force the young lovers to grow up quickly and fate causes them to commit suicide in silents. Three characters who are most responsible for the tragic ending of the play are Friar, parents of Romeo & Juliet, and the drug seller. Friar was one of the three people to blame for Romeo and Juliet deaths because he encouraged Juliet to poison herself to trick her family into thinking she was dead. The only reason he married the two was that he thought it would put an end to the two families fighting. Friar said in Act 2 scene 3 “But come young waverer, come go with me in one respect I'll thy assistant be for alliance may so happy prove to turn your households rancour to pure love.” He trusted someone else with a letter of important information to deliver to Romeo. He also didn't communicate well. …show more content…
No one supported them wanting to be together so they didn't it on their own. They had strict demands of what she will do with her life and who she will marry. She didn't have freedom of her own. Juliet's parents led to her fake death of no freedom and always demanding. They threaten to disown her if she didn't marry Paris. They argued with each other so it would've been easy done if they got along with another. In Act 4 , Scene 1 , “In the meantime , against thou shalt awake Shall Romeo by my letters know drift And hither shall he come and he and i will watch thy waking and that very night shall Romeo bear thee hence to Mantua.” Evidence that the friar was going to give a letter to Romeo to inform him about the running away with
Romeo and Juliet death, The person to blame for Romeo and Juliet death is Friar Lawrence. Friar Laurence is the most blame person their death because He married Romeo and Juliet, Make Juliet fake her death, and Left Juliet in tomb alone.
Many have said that romance brings love and affection, but when taken to the extreme, it can lead to tragedy and despair. In the literary play Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare created a tragedy protagonist, Juliet, whose tragic death “buries their parents’ strife” (Prologue). The eternal feud between Montague and Capulets restraints the love between Romeo and Juliet and ultimately lead to their death. Juliet’s death has many different factors, and it’s hard to determine the truly blame of Juliet’s death. In all the important characters, Lord Capulet refuses to listen to Juliet’s request, which result in Juliet’s death. In the other hand, Romeo’s immature, impulsive and Friar Lawrence’s cowardice are all generate Juliet’s tragedy.
In ¨The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet¨,there seems to be the question of who seems most responsible for the deaths in Romeo and Juliet? I’ve come to the idea that it is the prince, Escalus who caused or atleast could’ve stopped these deaths from ever starting to unfold. He was so anonymous of every problem happening and never took charge of the situation until it concluded. He had to ask of benvolio”who began this bloody fray” when Mercutio and Tybalt were dead. He never had men prepared of any casualties that could happen or any men on patrol so no fight broke out in the first place.
Romeo and Juliet are led to suicide by a large number of people. They are a pair of teenagers that are apart of two powerful households that are at conflict with each other. At the beginning of the play Romeo is in love with a fellow noble named Rosaline. Eventually, Rosaline does not love Romeo back and he begins to look for love again at the behest of Mercutio. There he finds Juliet at the party that is being held by Lord Capulet. Over the next four days their "love" escalates and it leads to the death of the couple, along with four others. Who is to blame for the deaths of these young lovers? Everybody in the play contributes to Romeo and Juliet's deaths, but it is mainly because of, in my opinion, Balthasar, Mercutio, and Friar Lawrence.
In the William Shakespeare's play both Romeo and Juliet end up killing themselves. I believe that the most responsible person for there deaths is Friar Laurence. Without his many actions Romeo and Juliet would be alive.
The Friar had good intentions in the beginning of Romeo and Juliet’s relationship, but his promotion of their secret relationship contributed to the events that all ushered the lovers to their death. He had originally wanted to make Romeo happy and attempt to put an end to the feud. This is true because Friar Lawrence clearly states his intentions in this quote, “For this alliance may so happy prove to turn your household’s rancor to pure love.” (Act 2 Scene 3 Lines 91-92) This shows that his intentions were good in the beginning before everything went downhill, but not everything worked out the way he had planned. He wanted to do everything he possibly could in order to make it that Romeo and Juliet could be together and not have to have any worries. However, the help that he offered both the lovers ended up backfiring in his face with so many problems arising for the plan to be properly executed. His letter never made its way too Romeo which caused the whole plan to fail as a result. Although, the he can be blamed for helping push the lovers in the direction of their doom, but he can’t be completely blamed for the mistake with the letter. Throughout the play there seemed to be forces like fate which are bigger than the characters and that are working to guide Romeo and Juliet to their end. So, despite Friar Lawrence playing a

Both the Capulets and Montagues are enemies that do not get along. When suddenly Romeo thinks Juliet is dead, he kills himself, then Juliet wakes up and kills herself. Blame shifts the reason for something away from oneself. People resort to blame when they feel their reputation is in danger. Blame factors into Shakespeare’s play, Romeo in Juliet almost the entire time. Two factors that led to Romeo and Juliet’s deaths in the story were the lovers themselves, and Friar John. had these people not been involved both Romeo and Juliet might still be alive.
The tragedy known as Romeo and Juliet can be seen to be their fault, because they are the ones who ended their lives. The blame should not be put on them but on other characters who pushed them to the end. Romeo and Juliet fell in love very fast, but couldn’t profess their love openly because of their feuding families. At the end of the tragic play they both kill themselves so they can be together for eternity. In the play “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare the Capulets, Friar Laurence, the Nurse, and the Prince can all be blamed for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
“Romeo and Juliet” is a very well put together piece of literature and is a world known play with many different versions. There's a lot of action, romance, death and compliment’s to Shakespeare for not only a creative imagination, but putting good quality literature at a whole new standard. A lot went on in “Rome and Juliet” that contributed to Romeo and Juliet’s suicidal actions, but who is truly to blame? After pondering for quite some time a reasonable conclusion was made. Wait, WHAT! Do you also think there is more to Romeo and Juliet than we all really know and who is to really blame for their deaths?! In Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare there is a huge impact and problem that occurs between two enemies that fall in love, but don't make it all the way through life and really enjoy it together. Friar Laurence, their parents, and Romeo and Juliet are to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because things they said and did really impacted and changed them. Romeo and Juliet’s parents weren’t as involved as they should of been or could have been and didn't really know or care about their kids lives.
Though William Shakespeare wrote many worldrenound stories, poems, and sonnets, he was not a famous writer during his lifetime. Today his work is known worldwide and one of his most famous tragedies is ‘Romeo and Juliet’. Known for its star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet, whose fates were sealed by an old feud between Montagues and Capulets. Perhaps from the Capulets, the young Juliet could be to blame for this horrific tragedy.
“When two people really care about each other, they always find a way to make it work. No matter how hard it is.” (Unknown author) In the play “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare, there are a number of people to blame for the tragic ending of Romeo and Juliet. The two star-crossed lovers fall in love at first sight, but Juliet a Capulet, and Romeo a Montague are forbidden be together as their families are in a feud.
Love is an odd and powerful thing. It can make people do the craziest of things, even die for someone you hardly know. In the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet knew each other for a very short period of time and believed they were in love with each other. So in love they died for each other. Was the death of these two star-crossed lovers their own fault or did it have to do with someone else? I believe the deaths of these lovers was not just their fault.
Instead, he marries them in secret and decides to wait to reveal the marriage until it's too late. This is evidenced by when he tells Romeo to wait in Mantua “...till we can find a time To blaze your marriage,”(Act 3, Scene 3, Line 156-157) Additionally, Friar is one of the most responsible characters in the death of Romeo and Juliet because he is the one who gave Juliet the potion to fake her death to get out of marriage with Paris, telling her, “Take thou this vial, being then in bed, And this distilled liquor drink thou off;”(Act 4, Scene 1, Line 94-95) This potion led everyone, including Romeo, to believe Juliet was dead. Romeo decided to end his life next to Juliet, and when Juliet woke up, she decided to do the same next to Romeo’s body. Friar Laurence is a meddling, foolish, and pusillanimous person who is irresponsible with the lives of two impressionable and lovestruck children.
