We are the products of our environment. When I was younger I didn’t go to church a lot, but now I go to church every Sundays and Wednesdays. I always get a life lesson out of every service that I go to. I feel like that is a big reason for who I am today. Being closer to God and getting to worship and praise him is what makes me a good Christian. I feel like since I go to church that I am being better at school, getting good grades, etc. Playing Sports has also made me the person that I am today. By playing sports I get to have fun, stay in shape, and make new and good friends. If I didn’t play softball, I wouldn’t have all of these really good and close friends that I do have. The same thing with volleyball and basketball all my friends
Sports have always been a major aspect of my life. My passion stems from my own parents who played sports throughout their lives and encouraged their children to do so. Many of my earliest memories are of me watching my brother play little league baseball and wanting nothing more than to be on the field with him. This desire was what prompted me to sign up for softball. I have played softball since the 3rd grade. Although this may sound cliché, it really has taught me the importance of working as a team. One player cannot win the game, it takes the team to throw a runner out at first or sacrifice bunt in order to score a run. From a leadership perspective, I have learned that in order to be a good leader, you must lead by example first. It
Many life experiences contribute to who I am today. One specific experience when I was six years old had proven to be the most influential.
Sports have been a huge part of my life ever since I was about five years old. It has impacted my life so much. The biggest challenge that I faced was with my injuries during basketball and soccer season. I recently had to quit soccer and basketball, which was difficult for me.
Next, participating in sports lets me be myself and will help me throughout my life. Sports have helped me grow into a better leader and gave me the ability to become a better person. If my teammates are ever down or upset about something, I now have the ability to help them recover from it and get ready for the next play or inning. Also, taking part in sports lets me be myself. Whenever I am on a field or a court, I can always do what I do best and forget about everything else in my life.
Playing a sport can teach you a lot of things. You will learn more about the sport, but you will also learn more about yourself and grow as a person. I like all sports because of the competitiveness and heart that each athlete puts into their respective sport which really inspires me. Everyone will have their own sport that they’re good at or love, but mine happens to be football. Football is the sport of hard hitting, ankle breaking, spectacular catching, and awesome moments. Being on the football field taught me to love and learn the sport, how to grow as a person and as a team, and also a lesson.
Sports have had an impact on my life in good ways and ways that I didn’t want them to go. The reason that it didn’t go like I wanted it to was because of the way that I got treated by a coach. It made me change my decision on a sport I loved to play, but I just couldn’t handle the mistreatment that I got. They have influenced me in good ways such as teamwork, motivation, independence and encouragement.
Participating in a sport has been something that has impacted my life for the best. It has helped me to learn to better manage my time, work well with other students, and taking a leadership role. I have been involved in sports for nine years, I had played softball for two years, but I had been a cheerleader for nine continuous years. Being able to participate in sports throughout my school career has helped me prepare for my future in order to be able to juggle school and sports at the same time.
Every experience I have had and accomplishments I have attained in the past helped define who I am today. Everything I have gone through and have done in the previous years of my life molded me into the person I am today. Not only did they shape me into who I am but also guided me in discovering the potentials I have buried deep within me and those I never thought I had. These experiences and accomplishments often mold us into someone we never thought we would be. Looking back at my past, it was not all good. I regret nothing, however, for I know that everything in life happens for a reason – may they be good or bad. Without the challenges and hardships of the past, I may not be who I am today. Back when I was in elementary school, I always
It has taken a lifetime of events for me to get here. To abide the person I am today has taken uncounted people to contour me. A very considerable role model in my life, the one person that is the reason I am who I am today, is my grandmother. My grandma Virginia Smith was my like a second mother figure to me. She taught me ethics, even at a young age, that are still applicable today.
Over the years, I have been involved in many activities from sports to being a teacher for English as a second language. Sports have been the things that have meant the most to me. Competing in both volleyball and softball have not only taught me the sport but also how to be a better person. Playing Sports has made me a very competitive person, which helps in the sports world and in the school world. I am always competing with myself to do better. Always pushing myself to do my absolute best. Another life lesson that playing sports has taught me is that you have to work hard in everything you do, nothing in life comes easy. My parents have always told me to work hard and do everything to the best of my ability and sports has really made me
More Than Just a Game Participating in three sports throughout high school has not only taught me how to become a better person on the court, but off the court as well. Sports have influenced me to always try my hardest, be a leader, have responsibility, work with others, and be mentally strong. These are traits that I can take with me wherever I go in life. I have faced and overcome many challenges due to sports, and that has helped prepare me for the future.
Playing a sport is a great way to start a career, make friends and build up confidence. Playing something gets you to be positive and have a better career when we grow up.
What sports do you play? The sport I play is football. Playing football involves a lot of things. It involves dedication to your team which means showing up to all the practices and film sections. It also involves hard work which means to go 110% to make other people on the team better. It involves brotherhood which would involve being there for your teammate when he has fallen down. It also involves when your teammate makes a mistake to not be mad at him just help him to be better. Football has changed me by making me work harder for what I want.
In the first place, playing on a sports team helps children and teens develop friendship and camaraderie. Kids will spend a lot of time with these peers on their team and that benefit them by learning respect for others, and social interaction skills that are needed throughout life. As well as, developing self-discipline, patience, and persistence. Playing a team sport provides teens with meaningful lessons in personal principles.
From the moment I saw that life is full of difficulties, I knew that I had to have differences from others. Being from a Persian and Jewish family you acknowledge many aspects of the world. Born in Iran and raised in the United States it has given me a distinct perspective on life. Up to junior high school I’ve attended private school which strengthened my morals and I chose to switch to a public school for high school which turned everything around. In private school I have earned honors in the subjects I am always passionate about and became most valuable player and captain of the school basketball team. Education has upgraded my critical thinking however sports has brought important elements into my life. Yes, playing sports strengthened my physical body, and it also taught me more about others from different backgrounds. The components and challenges that have most carved my personal life and ambitions are my family and solitude.
