The second message in this story is that medicine can bring people together like in our story. There was a slave who know how to heal the little white boy and actually cured him from going blind for the rest of his life. Which was very generous of him for healing the boys vision. One of the reasons that he had helped is because the two boys had grown up together so it would of have been like losing a friend if he didn't help. Money could have bought this boys freedom, but yet he kept it to himself and to his trib. The Author quotes, “Now, there’s a doctor for you” and what this means is that this little black boy could be going places if he wanted to because of the knowledge that he already has. He could have all the money in the world if he wanted too, but yet he chooses to keep what he knows a secret. WHich is very noble of him, but yet can be viewed as selfish at the same time because he has the choice to save millions of peoples vision and chooses not too. Which can be a good thing, but yet selfish? The third message in this story is that the lack if medicine was critical at the time. If a way, yeah the boy was being selfish not sharing how he didn’t share how the plant. But at the end of the story he says he bent over and gave them the roots but no one will ever know if it was the right ones or not, the author never says
LITTLE WILL PENNY sat behind a dustbin in an alley just off a quiet commercial street somewhere in London listening to the sounds of the holidays. Christmas music floated above the din of traffic. A rotund old man in whiskers, glasses and a long red coat rang a bell in front of a candy shop. Kids pulled their mums and dads along the sidewalks searching for treasures in toy stores. Twinkling lights spread muted color into the gloom of the alley.
James turns around, sees her. He immediately rubs his pant legs fast. They cross over toward each other.
I woke up to the loud screeching of the prison bell. I'll never be used to the metal hammer pounding on the bell every morning. I stood up as the mechanical cell door opened, the old cogs in the mechina rattled. I tried to walk out and tripped over my cell mates foot.
It was like any other day for me,birds were chirping, grass was growing and shadows were vandalizing property and wreaking havoc on the world.(22.) How all of this monstrosity happened is a long story so pull up a chair and listen.I’m Jack Jone and I was at a friend’s birthday party for a friend whose name I can’t say because he will be hunted down by the shadows. We had just finished the cake and had just started playing hide and seek. The birthday boy was the seeker and I was the hider(1.).”You should count to 10 and count very slowly,” I told him and he soon starts counting aloud”1,2,3…..” He counted. He was counting fast not slowly but that didn’t matter to the others, they were as fast as ninjas in the dead of night. I try to hide with one of them but she kicks me out of her hiding spot.”4,5,6…..” he still was counting down and I had to find a hiding spot quick”the forest is a really good spot” I thought to myself.I ran into the forest so fast all I heard as I was running was the fading sound of him counting”7,8,9,10 ready or not here I come” and hearing the screams of children being found and me as the kid always wanting to win ran farther and faster into the forest until I tripped on a root of a tree and phased through the ground into a hallowed cave.”SPLASH!!!” that was the sound I made when I landed on the water and the feeling of my body being slammed on water made my back feel like I broke my spine but with little energy and drowning because not being able to or
"Let's see." Rin said as she picked out her lipstick. "Should I use the maroon or the rose?" She held the two up to the light to judge the color. "Maybe you should where none and then jump of the school's roof." A little voice in the back of her head said manically. "Oh shut up." she moaned as she put the lipstick on. "Sweetie come get your breakfast." Rin's mom shouted from down the hall. "Coming." Rin yelled back. "Maybe you could not eat and starve yourself to death." The voiced said again. Rin groaned and sat at the table. Her brother came in, fresh from the shower. "Morning. Dad already leave?" He said as he shoveled spoonfuls of oatmeal in his mouth. "Ya know, eating too fast will make you gain weight. And since your not in sports you might want to think twice about your eating habits." Rin said in a matter-of-fact tone. "You can be a bitch, you know that?" Len said as he gritted his teeth. "Take that back Rin. Your not like that.", the voice echoed in her head. " I'm sorry for stating the truth fat ass."

The story begins in a small town of Halo,Kentucky. The story I'm going to be sharing with you is very heartfelt yet a touching feeling. The man Im sharing with you today was Born into a family of coal miners, he grew up very poor and had to deal with many different types of struggles and challenges, still to this day it is very hard for him to overcome. This man didn't make it past 5th grade because he developed a problem with his right ear that would have him in and out of hospitals fighting infections, the infections got so bad that they had him fighting for his life and ultimately leading to him being deaf in his right ear. The infections felt like someone was jabbing him in and out of his head with a thin sharp knife making his eyes jerk back and forth. His brain was on total pause leaving his body feeling like an empty hour glass. This strong man had told me he had to be hospitalized in the state of Virginia for the ear infection, This infection had began to increase rapidly and had his whole side of his face was swollen to an enormous size the pain was unbearable he kept scratching behind his ear because it ached so bad it ended up breaking the skin and infection shot like a bullet a splattering the wall beside his bed.
