To me, respect means to treat everybody with care and recognition. Being respectful is about accepting a person’s styles, methods, and thinking as well as showing him or her courtesy and politeness. Treat people the way you want to be treated by showing him or her the same respect you want for yourself. This action could be carried out in a day-to-day classroom by allowing someone to include their own ideas and contribute to things such as group projects or just being kind in conversation and other types of communication. If someone were to walk into the room and observe this community agreement, he or she would see people sharing techniques and suggestions and nicely commenting on each other’s opinions. He or she would see students including
Respect is the admiration of one’s abilities, qualities and achievements. I believe most people don't cherish their achievements rather than uphold their abilities to someone else. The respect you gain are driven from you’re qualities. The qualities you perform during an event, a meeting and a argument are delicate pieces that connect to gain one's
When talking about the word respect, numerous individuals have no clue what it implies. This word changes its meaning depending on who is inquired. Several people, even ones who comprehend what respect implies, still have no respect for anyone else. A two-way streak that everyone appears to overlook is respect. Showing respect to someone means you act in a way that shows you care about their feelings and well-being. Showing respect for others include things like not calling people mean names, treating people with courtesy, caring enough about yourself that you don 't do things you know can hurt you. What is respect? Is the way people should be treated, how you would want to be treated, and should it come naturally or should it be taught? Respect is what are world is built on, I feel that the phrases like “reap what you sow” explain what respect works like. For example to when I am rude to someone they tend to be rude back, the same works with respect. When being disrespectful to someone you most likely will disrespect you right back. Not everyone follows these thoughts of respect. Actions like these can lead to dangerous places, people begin to break boundaries that were once built on respect.
Additionally, there are numerous meanings on being respectful. Primarily, respectful means a person to treat someone as one wants to get treated as. Even that ‘someone’ doesn’t want to respect the person, she/he must treat the person well. If the person doesn’t, that will make the person as same as the person who didn’t treat the one at first. Another meaning of respectful would be to listen to other’s opinions. When students do group projects with other people, they should always listen to their peers’ ideas, because that is respect, and there might be a better idea. Lastly, being respectful means to treat everyone equally. Maybe the treatment to an unknown person and a best friend will totally be different, but this case will be discrimination on anything. For example, Race, gender, language, looks and income. We are all equal as people, so we always have to treat others equally without any discrimination. Being respectful means to treat someone as one wants to get treated as, listening to other’s opinions, and treating everyone
Respect is holding something or someone in high regard. Respect has an impact on all aspects of my life, both personally and professionally. As a personal value, respect is twofold; I must respect everyone around me as well as respecting myself. I will demonstrate respect for others by treating everyone equally and without judgement. I will listen and be considerate of the opinions and values of others, regardless of conflicting opinions. I will respect myself by dressing modestly and not objectifying myself as a woman. I will not engage in any unethical behaviour that may compromise my personal morals and values.
Most people go through life and always hear about the word respect, but they don’t know what it means. Respect is the esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person. There are things in life you need to hold in respect. Respect for yourself, respect for others, and respect for property. Respect is taught to people everywhere and it is even taught to them in their religions. Respect is the very aspect that keeps everything in your life.
It's pretty interesting to hear that in your house Sir or Ma'am had to be used. In my house and the area where I lived, if you used Sir or Ma'am, you would have offended the person. We did call other parents by their formal name though, Mr. and Mrs. Still to this day, at 25 years of age, I still call my friends parents by their formal name rather than their first names. I do agree that respect is an important aspect within any profession and between colleagues as well as patients or clients. Without respect, a facility may never grow and therefore never have a future. It is important that a certain level of respect is maintained to ensure for business as well as employees that enjoy their job. I think it’s very important to understand the
What is Respect? It's giving honor and admiration to someone or something. Respect is when accepting others feedback, Listening to others and what they have to say, And value other’s opinion. This means staying on task, and staying school friendly. Respect is one of the main rules at
When demonstrating respect for others, you give value to their being and ideals. It includes taking someone's feelings, needs, thoughts, and wishes into consideration. Our new generation has demonstrated a lack of respect, whether it's at home, school, or at work; from student to student, child to parent, or coworker to coworkers. The highest level of respect is always earned never given. One of the best ways of showing respect for someone is an example of this quote by Byant H. McGill "One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say" which is truly listening to the person's point of view.
When you arrive to a new country you should try to understand and follow all rules, also when same of them are perceived unwarranted and different. Diversity cultures and backgrounds giving different contexts and opinion to the same notion. My first recommendation in this issue is being patience with yourself and keep calm before making a digression about your particular experience. I am going to explain with an anecdote I have suffered when I first time visited United State and how I did for affording an ambiguity rule in a train station.
With that being said, respect is important. That much is a fact. Who deserves respect? Our higher ups. Squad leaders, platoons sergeants, and first sergeant especially (our officers get respect without saying, I mean, look at all their ranger tabs. That is badass). There is not one NCO I would not do nothing for. If there is a request, one phrase in my head immediately fires off, "MOVING SERGEANT!" All the NCOs in Alpha Company are qualified and competent enough to do what is needed to complete the mission. The mission is part of the warrior ethos. "I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit. I will never leave a fallen comrade." Someone has paid someone a lot of dollars to carefully think of this.
Sam KozlowskiTeen LeadershipRespect! There are many definitions of the word “respect” according to the Merriam Webster Dictionary. It can be a “relation or reference to a particular thing or situation”, or “high or special regard”,or the quality or state of beingesteemed.” Respect can be a noun or a verb. A synonym for respect can be “civility”. Both words convey showing some one esteem and dignity. It is especially important in the work place or in the class room. !With out respect, the World would cease to function in a civilized manner. For example, author Ralph Waldo Emerson stated that, “Every human being, of what ever origin, of what ever station, deserves respect. We must each respect others even as we respect ourselves.” In addition
That's the official definition, but what does it mean to me, good question. What does it mean to me? Respect is something that should be earned not just given. There are a lot of people who do not respect others, and that is one of the things wrong with society today. The gang members who spray graffiti in their own neighborhood on other people's property, they need to be punished because they show no respect for anyone or anything. Behavior like this probably begins at home.
This means that while in school a student appreciates his fellow classmates. For example, in a classroom discussion, rather than being rude or disrespecting one’s opinion, a respectful student still appreciates that person's opinion even if it contrasts with their own. It also means that a student should try to lift up his fellow students and help them to succeed as well. When another student is struggling with a homework assignment or classwork a respectful student offers his own help so that his peer can understand the material rather that sitting there and watching them. Being a respectful student in school also means acknowledging your teachers and how they give up their time to help you. This means that while a teacher is talking a respectful student keeps quiet and listens to what the teacher has to say because it will likely prove helpful when it comes to exams, classwork, or
