I have been able to work in a community educator role associated with two organizations. The first being the Slippery Rock University Women’s Center. At the Women’s Center, I was able to serve my fellow students in a capacity which fostered trust and respect. Additionally, as a staff intern I was able to plan, develop, and execute an event titled, “Love Your Body Fair”. This event’s aim was to reach all students and discuss societal pressures enhanced by media associated with body image. The other organization I was able to work closely with was, RockOUT. ROckOUT is the QuILTBAG student organization of Slippery Rock University; where I was able to serve as Vice-President for two years. While serving in a leadership role, we saw our membership increase four fold, as well as, host some of the largest educational events, to date, on the university’s campus. Some of the events which I was able to create, plan, organize, and execute were: “Tackling Homophobia” (university wide event with Esera Tuaolo, former NFL player, discussing LGBT in professional sports), “Straight Talk” (LGBT student and faculty panelists share coming out stories), “Cake Day” (Asexual awareness), and “Candlelight Vigil” (Dedicated to those members of our community who took their lives but, will not be

The support of the club has given back to all areas of influence including schools, cemeteries, businesses, and programs such as the Warrior Outreach. The club has been involved with many outstanding events such as feeding the homeless; providing gifts for under privileged kids; partnering with local schools to help establish a positive foundation for the youth through interaction; clearing and cleaning overgrown cemeteries with the preservation society; and assisting with the restoration of homes belonging to citizens in the area. One of the most interesting things that the club does that should never go unnoticed is empowering and providing great leaders with an outlet to be able to do these amazing things. Individuals will struggle to find a way to make a difference in the community, but when like minded individuals come together the opportunities seem to present themselves in abundance.

I was working as an intern at a company called Project Management Institute (PMI) for six months and have learned some useful and interesting knowledge about analytics. Both of the programs’ main focus is cancer management, specifically giving non-medical direct services to needy cancer patients. The area is of great need, and it is linked closely to the core competencies of the Organization as a healthcare company (McKesson, n.d.). My key responsibilities at Genesis Software Solutions Inc., as marketing analyst were to analyze the pros and cons of launching a new marketing campaign proposed by the company. To identify market opportunities and company’s needs I first met with the subject matter experts and understood all the requirements. With the knowledge transferred from the subject matter experts, I evaluated the scope of market penetration for the company. I also analyzed Return on investment. For this, company uses google analytics tools, to look at the market metrics and scope analysis. My internship at the company helped me to get familiarized with the usage of all these tools and how to generate and understand reports.

In today 's mind boggling business environment, the field of data analytics is developing in acknowledgment and significance (Grant and Jordan, 2015). It is assuming a basic part as a basic leadership resource for officials, particularly those overseeing expansive organizations. The company's innovative and appealing services include data collection through web analytics which is then combined with operational systems data. The company looks forward to continued growth which is expected to reach 60% over the next 18 months.
