I attended a “Vetworking” session on September 16, 2015 from 5 – 7pm. I can honestly state that I went into this session close minded because I just wanted to finish this assignment ahead of time. Ten minutes into the event, I realized that the recruiters are just as nervous and timid as us. Some recruiters would approach me, while others kept looking at me hoping I would approach them. My first interaction was with Trinity Industry, a steel company that is based in Dallas. The recruiter, Jamey, told me about his company and explains how I would fit in with my degree plan. Being close minded, I did not expect to be so excited to learn about his company, much less, a steel company. Jamey seems interested in my degree path by offering insights, and asking about my availability
