The people know about Michael Vick that he was the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles and played for 13 seasons in the National Football League (But there is another story that Michael Vick has been involved in dog fights and went to prison for the actions that committed). That does not cover on what had happened to the dogs,Donna Reynold’s had said in details that the swimming pool was used for kill some of the dogs as she continues, the people did not know how many suffered the permitted murder, but the damage of pool walls tells a story. Michael Vick did not just put dogs to fight, but he would hang, drown, shoot, repeatedly slamming their head and spine into the ground

(Such as antisocial/psychopathic personality disorders and engage in deliberate acts of Zoosadism, Animal can be abused by how you treat them, but what has that animal ever did to you that would want you to kill it, There are stories about human abuse, but has there ever been a person who would worry about their pets that they can also get abused, Whenever you look at an animal’s eyes would you ever think that they have feelings that they to also suffer as you do. Everyone has feelings same as animals just to look at their face or eyes you would know about how they feel, Animals can feel pain and suffer just as humans can but since sociopaths have a general inability to empathise, they are able to inflict pain and urgency on sentient beings with no feelings of remorse the increasing probability that cruelty to humans is the next step. The quote that stands out is (This is a personal issue for me since my ex-husband is a medically documented sociopath and I had put a stop to Tim walking our pit bulls and for him to have any contact with any of our seven dogs someone present our dogs were kicked, punched, jerked at the neck by chain lead shed hardness tightened into place around their necks and even my pit bulls become cowardly dogs). There are times where your own pets become afraid of you just by how you treat them and would not want to be around you, A dog can bleed, be choked, happy, upset, all other feelings that a human can feel because weather you can see it or not animals suffer and that they also feel pain. There are some people that think that some athletes have a good life, but are you sure that all athletes are good, Michael Vick fought and killed countless innocent animals, some by repeatedly slamming their
Animal abuse is a quiet epidemic that is spreading throughout the world. The amount of animal abuse is growing and we must do something to stop it. Animal abuse is not putting a choke collar on a dog to keep it from biting an individual; it is not killing an animal for food. Animal abuse is the knowing or intentional "(1) tortures or serious overworks [of] an animal"; the "(2) failing unreasonably to provide necessary food, care, or shelter for an animal in his custody; kills, injures, or administers poison to an animal; [or] (6) causes one animal to fight with another" (Title 3). The majority of states in the U.S. classify abusive treatment toward animals as a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor is punished by a fine of
Thesis Statement: Imagine a dog running to fetch a toy, A horse galloping on a trail, or even a heard of cows grazing upon a grassy pasture. These same beloved animals could be suffering an unimaginable fate in some of the world concentration camps that are still standing. Only nowadays they are known to the outside world as slaughterhouses, fur farms, or experimentation centers.
Movies, TV shows, circuses, and illegal gatherings in an old car garage are all places that animal abuse has taken place for the entertainment of humans. Since the 1900’s movie producers have been using animals in their productions (Dugas). Inhumane and unnecessary, are just two words that describe animal abuse, the use of animals for human entertainment is cruel and injustice.
What is animal abuse? For starters, animal abuse is when a person inflicts suffering or harm on any animal. Most people, all over the world own an animal; but there are still far more animals left out on the street. Homeless animals are either left out on the streets or are “thrown” into shelters. This became a problem because not all animals are domesticated. Animal shelters began as pounds. “When the system began to be used to impound wandering dogs and cats, these animals were often killed because little monetary value was placed on them” (Lila Miller, Animal sheltering in the United States: Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, 1) . This issue persists because shelter workers and others truly believe that an animal life has no value, but that is not true; animals are living beings just like humans with brains, hearts, and bones. A reported case was that “authorities had seized 23 puppies, 11 cats, and four adult dogs from a self-processed animal “rescue” after they were found in the “rescuer’s” filthy home.” (‘No-Kill’ Label Slowly Killing Animals, 3). This means that an unauthorized person hoarded many animals and forced the animals into an unsafe “shelter”. The shelter being a dirty home.
At this very moment, there are approximately 250 million cows being used in the dairy industry. 9 million of those cows are in America, and 16.5 percent of those will die from disease. That’s just one of the outcomes on a dairy farm. Animal cruelty is intentionally inflicting suffering or harm upon any non-human animal, whether it is legal or not. Dairy farms fall under the “animal cruelty” label for many reasons. Not only do cows get injected with hormones that cause disease, but they also have to live in unsanitary living conditions, and the cows suffer with a lot of health and emotional problems due to forced impregnation.
Government data on domestic violence cases reveal a staggering number of animals are victimized by abusive partners each year. The HSUS estimates that nearly 1 million animals a year are abused or killed in connection with domestic violence. Do you believe animals have feelings like us human? Do you think they know when they are getting abused? All around the world there are hundreds, maybe thousands of ways animals get abused, mentally, physically and emotionally. Innocent creatures put on this earth for our happiness, for our food for our amusement are getting abused from the humans cruel ways of life. There are many animals around the world crying out for help, hoping for deliverance from the cruel animal abuse
Beginning with the first man and community numerous years ago, humankind has subsisted on agricultural bounties, as well as animal sources. Animals were widely revered as gods and were considered divine figures throughout the countries of the world. Each indigenous community had several specific species which they worshipped through ceremonies and rituals. The ceremonies varied widely in each community, but the respect for the animal was a similar factor in all. The tribes can be separated into two groups: one who occasionally killed the animals, and the other who only killed habitually.
This is comparison of a child and an animal being abused and the people would support more a child than the animal we understand the child is a human being and it’s just a kid but the animal is just an animal but this living creature has feelings and a life it would like to live with a person who would love and cherish every moment with the animal. A veterinarian was caught abusing animals at the hospitals video tapes caught her hurting them nearly to death and the doctor has been suspended for 10 months and has to pay a fine of $10,000 but can reduced to few more depending on how the actions are being taken by the doctor. If we protest on an animal being abused some people wouldn’t care and some would because those who do care have a heart and would like to put a stop to this. The people think this is just a one time thing and then forget about it but it’s something that happens 24/7 everyday an animal is being abused or killed by someone for a certain reason.
According to the Humane Society of the United States, there was a South Carolina puppy mill that consisted of hundreds of puppies that were living in harmful conditions with no food or water, many of them were closed up in a small cages, and some had illnesses. Their fur was matted and the animals were sick because they were not taken care of properly (Animal Abuse). Once all the animals were rescued, they were relocated into animal shelters in hopes of regaining their strength and getting adopted. Animal abuse is illegal in all fifty states because of events like this that mistreat animals. They have rights just like humans do.
When you come think about pets, your dog or cat, you think of how cute and cuddly they are and how much you love them and how much they love you. Your pet is like your child, an animal that will love you unconditionally and it's your responsibility to take good care of it. But there are some people out there that could care less about the animal that they decided to bring home. Many animals are often abused by their owners and a dog or cat doesn't have to be physically abused to feel neglected. There are two kinds of animal abuse and that is passive abuse and active abuse. Such things as not providing food or water, or not providing good shelter in bad weather conditions, or failing to provide medical care that can be seen as passive abuse.
Animal abuse is a big issue in society. Most animal cruelty is caused by humans. Almost ten million animals die from animal abuse each year just in the U.S. 60% of those animals are dogs, 18% involve cats, and 22% involve other animals. Over 250,000 animals fall victim to neglect or abandonment a year and the person responsible rarely ever gets caught or arrested for what they've done.
Cruelty has existed since the beginning of living organism. No matter where you live, what religion your in, Cruelty will always exist. It’s just a part of human nature, it’s tactic us human use to get accomplish something, or get your point across. Think about about the holocaust in Germany, slavery, and 9/11. They all used acts of cruelty to get there point across. There are times where cruelty saves innocent lives, most times cruelty cause more harm than good.
Did you know about one million animals per year are abused because of domestic violence that occurs in the home where they live. (https://www.dosomething.org)
The Earth never wavers in support of its inhabitants no matter how those habitants degrade and destroy it. Humans take from the Earth whatever they want and are mostly neglectful in returning any compensation. This vicious cycle of damage (such as food source and freshwater depletion) will continue if the current rate at which people are being born does not begin to slow down, and if the existing masses do not begin to realize that they have askewed the notions of necessity and indulgence; materialism is not the dominant source of happiness in life. People have become so ignorant of this that they have taught themselves that they deserve a joyful life at the expense of nature. The Earth cannot continue to be stripped of its finite amount
All beings, “things”, and properties of life have a sole function and reason to be in existence. Everything must have an ends to itself rather than a means to another ends (Aristotle, 617-636). Aristotle examines the idea of function and purposefulness within the ten books of Nicomachean Ethics. Finding this ends to itself is how one can achieve the ultimate happiness. Aristotle discovers that if everything has an ends to itself, man too, must have an end. What does being a “person” really mean, and who is eligible to classify themselves as a “person”? How can one distinctively be told apart from an intellectual animal? Aristotle’s pinpointing the function and purpose of man, can directly relate to Mary Midgley’s article Persons and Non-Persons. Midgley’s article speaks about the issue of animal cruelty. The case of harming a dolphin and eventually becoming self-destructing is the main focus of the article. The researcher decided to set the dolphins free into the water, creating an even more dangerous environment for a lethargic, self-destructing dolphin. Both sources focus on the idea of the defining feature of man, and questions what is it that makes us human? Society is constantly abusing the idea of human superiority. Although humans have a distinctive feature, what gives one the right to be cruel to the other beings of the world, no matter what their function or their purpose in the world is? One must be careful not to abuse their power. One must use their practical and
