At the age of eight, it was finally time for little Timmy to experience the magical world of Disney World. His parents had spent the past two years, saving up just enough money for a three-night stay at one of the resorts in Orlando. Saving the money was no easy task, as they had to often make some tough choices on where to spend less in their daily routine. They would save with little things such as eating in rather than spending an extraordinary amount of amount money on fancy restaurants. They believed the resulting trip to Disney world would pay off and make up for the lousy home cooked meals. Of course, while booking the trip, they knew that time would be scarce and a solid plan on how to get the most out of a three night trip was crucial. They decided that since most of their time would be spent outside and within the amusement parks, a cheap hotel would suffice and more money could be spent on an all park pass along with extra fast-passes to skip the long lines. They also decided it was worth buying a plane ticket rather than make the long drive up to Florida from Boston. They knew the experience of flying in a plane would be well worth the extra $500 they could be saving otherwise. The father, Jim, used his experience as a long-time traveling salesman to book the perfect flight plan for his family. He recognized that the flights later in the day would allow them to avoid more traffic on the way there while also getting some extra sleep, but, at the cost of time that
Jack Zipes, in his essay "Breaking the Disney Spell", directly addresses the issue of what happens when a story is taken from its original oral form and written down. Zipes discusses in depth what Walt Disney has done to fairy tales and the consequences of Disney's actions. Zipes addresses many issues, including those of context, society, and alteration of plot. He accuses Walt Disney of attacking "the literary tradition of the fairy tale" (344). While many scholars disagree with Zipes' accusations, his essay makes very solid and well-presented points that he promptly backs with fact. Regardless of what the scholars say, Zipes was right: Oral tradition is important, and Disney's representations of historical folktales damaged fairy tales
I remember the first time I went to Disney World; excited and eager like a child on the first day of school. I already had my suitcase packed two weeks before we even left, and that two weeks felt more like two years. The night before we left, I couldn’t sleep. It was like I had nonstop adrenaline rushing through my body. All I could think about were the rides, princesses, and that beautiful beach I’ve seen thousands of pictures of. Finally, after hours and hours of stirring around, I fell asleep.
Walt Disney set a vision for the company – to provide wholesome family entertainment. Everything that the company did was aligned to this vision and corporate philosophy.
Since the grand opening in 1971, Walt Disney World has continuously brought dreams to life. Walter Elias Disney and his brother Roy Oliver Disney cofounded Walt Disney World in hopes of encouraging imagination among all attendees. The park continues to grow and excite visitors from all over the world. Many people deem Walt Disney World as one of the best theme parks to exist. To make this evaluation one must consider the qualities successful theme parks possess. These include entertainment for all age groups, flexible options for health needs, advanced technology, and alluring themes. While Walt Disney World may be busy, it exhibits all the necessities of an excellent theme park.
I’ve been to Disney World three times in my life. Although all three times were fun, the third one was the most eventful because when I was seven years old I was almost kidnapped at the happiest place on Earth.

Imagine if dreams could really become a reality. Something thought to be so far off from possible simply coming true. Everyone has a purpose in their life; it’s just a matter of seeking it out. Dreams can vary from small to large. No matter what size it is, it is a passion stirred up in the inside. A dream is a desire of your heart. No one can fulfill one’s dream but themselves. While following a dream, the road gets tough. Some give up, and others strive to accomplish it. Sometimes, a dream could be so hard to reach. So can a dream thought to be impossible come true? For Walt Disney, the answer was yes. He stated, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them”. He is absolutely right. Don’t dream but have the mindset of it being impossible, dream and have the mindset of it being possible. Hard work is capable of paying off. Goals can be met and wildest dreams can come true. Walt Disney used his creative personality to accomplish his goals, make an impact on many lives, and leave his legacy for all to remember.
Why have I gone to Florida so many times in the past 8 years? Because my wife loves Disney World and I too have developed a love for this fairy tale land. It holds a special place as the destination for our honeymoon. Later this became the destination for our family’s’ vacation with our son and daughter. Disney World is one of the most attractive destinations to individuals across the globe. By far, Disney World is the most fun to enjoy with family and friends. Disney allows for both children and adults alike to enjoy the same rides, attractions, and shows. The parks are situated in a part of the country where the weather does not impede an individual’s enjoyment on a long term scale as the temperatures remain well above freezing year around.
I find the essay “From Inside The Mouse: Work and Play at Disney World” a well worded essay, however I must disagree with Willis on the topic of Disney being consumerist, Disney has always put a monumental amount of time and money in designing, imagining and creating a fun space where both the little tikes and the parents can play. Aunts and uncles, Moms and dads and grandmas and grandpas can all have a fun time at a Disney theme park because they provide a general environment that any family can mold into any type of vacation for all family types, whether it’s go, go,go or to just relax in the sun for a few days and take in all of the glorious atmosphere in.

My mom is not very tall but not short either she has light brown hair that is medium hair and is so caring and kind she also likes to watch movies and play games. My dad is really tall and is kind and likes to watch TV.
Summer of 2011. Sun is bright as ever, and the humidity starts roaring. It was 11 am in Orlando, Florida and I’m finally at so called “the happiest place in the world.” Disney World is the name. Once entering, balloons, parades, and screaming from the roller coaster hits you. I myself was with joy that my dreams have come true. Even the few souvenirs at the gift shop got me hyped.
Traditionally, Disney tales have a common character that their princesses or princes’ curses need to be broken by the spell through a kiss love, so the dream becomes a reality. Move over, the first feature-length animated film which we knew from Disney; the Snow White and Seven Dwarves. Jasmine the princess and Aladdin the street boy both they had chemistry and realized their wishes against Jaffar and Mead-Est culture. Passing over the fabulous story of Ratatouille; However, Alfredo Linguini and Remy that is the story about rejected one according is status, who couldn’t cook. Disney animated movies blend social diversity through their tales, but they didn’t realize to go so far until they see the first African – American president in the White House, Disney made a First American princess who is black. Even though Disney cast their first black princess; The Frog and the Princess. It was a controversial animated movie for some people because all Disney white princesses married white princes. But, Disney claimed this one, they wanted the Frog and the Princess; the Prince Naveen of Maldonia a white from the frog and Tania the waitress a black girl that story happened in New Orleans the Jazz city and voodoo. This one movie stands for diversity.
Disney World is said to be the most magical place on earth. For some that is true and for others it’s not. I however, am one of those people who say it’s true. Disney is my favorite place that I have been to in the world so far. Some people will say they don’t like Disney but I don’t see how that could be true. I mean, with all the rides, activities, characters, food, and a lot more. It just doesn’t seem possible to not love it. Even if you don’t like Disney though you know what it is. This is because Disney World is one of the most well know places in the world because most children love it, therefore, it will only continue to grow.
After Eisner invested tens of millions of dollars to update and expand attractions and park facilities, Disney recovered its investment with attendance-building strategies. By creating a range of complementary services and entertainment at the park, customers stayed longer and spent more money. A plan was also put in place to develop Disney’s unused acreage and further maximize the profitability of these assets. One result of the above measures was that attendance at Tokyo Disneyland increased by 50% from 10.2m in 1983 to 15.8m in 1991.
