Peer pressure should not be allowed because it may result in bad choices for the person experiencing it. Many kids entering high school, or middle school start experiencing all different kinds of peer pressuring. Whether it is encouraging you to join choir, track, or dance. But, sometimes your friends can be pressuring you to try very dangerous things. For example, drugs, drinking, and dares that lead to very hard consequences.
This is one of the toughest issues a teenageer will face. They feel if they don't do it they are not part of ¨the group" anymore. It's not always someone physically talking to you, and telling you to do it. Some are caused by the media. The book says “In this point in your life relationships with other people are important at this age.” This book also says that you and your friends might be really close but sometimes the way you act with them might end up just being by yourself in the end.
Truth magazine stated that 90% of teenageers of teenageers experince peer pressure, and 88% admitted to falling into peer pressure which is agreeing with their friends to try different things. Of course they see many different groups around but simply feel like none of the suit they're personality. Therefore, they are pressured to lead to drugs to have back the feeling of having fun, and seeing everyone enjoying themselves all together.
Pressuring someone into being someone they're not, trying to make them fit in , having to carefully of what to say, do, or even wearing what everyone else is wearing. They are simply like clones of each other doing the exact same some things that some of them don't even enjoy. Simply because they want to fit in with their ¨friends”.
We get mad at a relative, when they tell us what to do, but we don’t know what to do when some of our friends tell us to try something new. When pressuring is forced the person slowly feels they have only changed a little on the outside, but they know inside they have shriveled, and deteriorated.
