It all started in 1995, when Larry Page and Sergey Brin met at Stanford University. Larry was 22 years old and a University of Michigan graduate. Sergey was 21 years old at the time and was assigned to show Larry around campus. Larry Page decided to attend Stanford University and became close friends with Sergey Brin. In 1996, Larry and Sergey collaborates the search engine “BackRub”. Stanford servers could not handle too much bandwidth from BackRub the first year Larry and Sergey was running it. The following year in 1997, they registered Google.com on September 15th. Google was created by them so; it could be a mission to organize millions of information for the world to discover. Larry Page and Sergey Brin incorporated Google in California and they opened a bank account for the established company (Google Inc., 2013).
The first office space they started in was in Susan Wojcicki's garage on Santa Margarita Ave., Menlo Park, California. February 1999, Larry and Sergey moved out of Susan’s garage and moved to 165 University Avenue in Palo Alto. Then, they were able to hire only eight employees to start off their growing business. In August, they are able to open up a Mountain View location at 2400 Bayshore, south of Stanford University and near some city named Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and San Jose.
