The Ukraine and the U.S. Governments are similar and different in a lot of ways. The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast the two governments. The essay will begin with a breakdown of the countries’ governments. Then it will talk about each country’s history and culture. The essay will end with a summary of a current issue in each country.

Globalization is the process by which the markets of different countries become integrated due to the exchange of goods, services, technology, and capital. Globalization depends on social, economic, and political factors, and continuously alters the way that the world works. All the vital components of the evolving global, political, economic and social institutions being examined seem to constantly converge and to perpetually intertwine during the day to day administration of global affairs. Diplomacy is employed to keep a measured balance between conflict and cooperation. The global guarantees of international law are placed in sharp contrast to the grim reality of human rights on daily basis and policy is dictated by the scales of political power and the urgent priorities of economic necessity. To understand how the globe functioned in the past and how it wishes to function in the future, we must study each factor separately and observe its inevitable interactivity with the other factors that occur. It is important to note that none of the dynamics can be given greater weight in comparison to the other crucial instrumentalities.

Ukraine is granted a market economy status by the EU and USA. The sharp economic decline in the 90s resulted in deteriorating living standards for most citizens and widespread poverty. However, during the 21st century, there has been some positive economic growth in Ukraine, as well as Eastern Europe as a whole. The concept of globalization is a complex and peculiar one, failing to be definable by a single, precise definition. Centrally, globalization involves information and goods being exchanged amongst different countries. These interactions and interchanges among countries globally over time is due to an increase in communication and transport networks. Globalization is often divided into three main areas being economic globalization, cultural globalization and political globalization. All three are vital areas to one’s life and globalization is said to have a large impact on each. With these major threats against the people of the Ukraine, the russians have been compromising the borders. In 1994, Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons in exchange for guaranteed security from threats and or uses against territorial integrity and political independence by signing the Memorandum. Russia’s illegal actions towards Crimea has increased major and aggressive military posture all around the world has diminished the rights to a secure border to the Ukraine, even though the treaty still stands with the Ukraine. With the unsecure borders, Russia invaded the Ukraine in 2014, and since then ten thousand people have been killed and 1.4 million internally displaced. People have been killed, tortured, and arrested because they posses something remotely Ukrainian, as in symbols and many other ways of expressing. The people of the Ukraine have been constantly terrorized since then and the numbers are building up.

The political climate in Ukraine favours EU membership, having, since the country’s independence, included a theme of ‘returning to Europe’, which was further enhanced by the Orange Revolution. After a time of political turmoil from 2005 to 2010, Ukraine has been recognised by the EU as having entered a period of political stability. The political spectrum in Ukraine seems to be converging in their approach to Europe, with only the minor Communist Party being opposed to further integration.

The political relations between Ukraine and Russia as the two independent subjects of international relations were established in 1991 after the eighth December of the same year signed the Belavezha agreement between Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, which marked the end of the existence of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics as " subject of international law and geopolitical reality "and the establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States. From that moment we can talk about the beginning of the existence of full political relations between Russia and Ukraine.

Unlike the rest of Ukraine, Eastern Ukrainians have received more of a cultural and linguistic influence from Russia. The Ukrainian people are descended from the nomadic, free Cossacks. The Cossacks “neither loved the tsar not the [Polish] lord” and were a people totally separate from the Russians and Polish (Magosci 19). The roots of Russia and Ukraine reveal that the name Russia is derived from the word Kievian Rus. The Kievian Rus were Ukrainian people who had established Kiev, “the capital of the ancient Russian state” (ExpatRu). The name “Russia” was eventually adopted by Peter the Great many years later. The Russian-speaking Ukrainians have been influenced a lot by Russian culture; they have adopted the language due to the constant transfer of power between Russia (including the USSR) and other countries. Due to the lack of this knowledge, the rebels have successfully manipulated the minds of the Russian-speaking citizens into thinking they are ethnic Russians.
