The definition of the word honor is high respect for someone. My definition of honor is someone who did something very important and should be respected.

What exactly is honor? Honor is a sense of integrity and responsibility. Honor is doing what someone believes to be the right thing to do. To some people honor even means putting others before themselves, and doing what is best for everyone in the situation. In the story The Crucible by Arthur Miller, John Proctor was faced with a very challenging decision at the end.

In our day and age the word honor can mean many different things to different people. The general definition of honor is, a person who is respected, has integrity, is fair and just, hard working, kind, of good moral character, and loyal to the end of time. A person who holds this position of high esteem knows what is being asked of them, and take their service to heart. I feel that honor must be earned and that while not a fragile thing, it can be lost just as easily. We, as Americans, show honor to those who have served, or are currently serving our country. We award them for giving of their time and for sacrificing their comforts to protect all of us. In the past we, as Americans, would teach our children to show respect (honor) to their

The word honor means to view something with high respect or esteem. As a citizen, you should honor something or someone who represents or serves your country every day. You show Honor, or respect for your country, when you say the pledge of allegiance in school or hold the door open for a veteran when out in public. Before joining this program I did not have a really clear idea of what the military did. I did not think twice when I saw someone wearing a world war or Vietnam veterans ball cap. Honor can mean many different things to individual people. The official definition of honor states “ a high respect or esteem”. My definition of honor is someone who has done something to earn respect in a community.

Integrity should be the highest value for any cadet. That is why there is an honor code at the Academy. Cadets should have a sense of pride and integrity and do what is right automatically. If a person cannot do the right thing without being watched, then he cannot be trusted. If an Army officer cannot be trusted by his own soldiers, he is useless as a leader and can’t be relied upon

I would like to say the first thing on this essay is that the Navy core values are: Honor, Courage, and Commitment. This essay is talking about the honor you do for your fellow teachers. It is also talking about the advantage you have to speak for others. The main idea of this essay is to get the chance to know the Navy core values really well. Hello, fellow teachers from SSHS! I like to take this time to tell you aa story about honor, courage, and commitment. So, I like to take my time and talk about honor, courage, and commitment. One example of core values is the Army Values. This can be remembered by the acronym LDRSHIP. L is loyalty, D is duty, R is respect, S is selfless service, H is honor, I is integrity, and P is personal courage (army.mil). This must be an all-around enforcement, not just from the top down. Standards and core values apply to all within an organization.

Arguably, one of the most all-encompassing of the seven Army Values is integrity. Per the Cambridge Dictionary,

Honor is the respect given to a person who is admired by other people. My definition of honor is the reputation that someone receives from other people due to accomplishments and respect. Most people think that honor refers to veterans who have sacrificed a lot for our country, but some think honor refers to people who have made a name for themselves by inventing something that helped the world. Courage is the ability to stand up for what I believe in, to humble down even when faced with difficulty. As a leader, courage is the ability to provide input to superiors while making decisions without regard to personal consequence.

The first of the seven Core Army Values is loyalty. Loyalty, according to the army, is bearing true faith and allegiance to the U.S. Constitution, the Army, your unit, and other soldiers a like. Loyalty is necessary when deploying over seas. A loyal soldier is an effective soldier. It means that he puts aside his personal life and is motivated to the cause at hand. This is why loyalty makes and unit more effective. It is what brings soldiers together, because if they know that they can rely on the man next to him then they can accomplish any mission no matter how difficult. If loyalty is not present in a unit then they can’t be mission ready and won’t be effective in the field.

The definition of honor is high respect; esteem. My view of honor is someone that has sacrificed something, someone that has done something for someone and expects nothing in return. Someone who has or is changing the way we live for the better.
