There are so many avenues to experience by using technology from research to presentation. For example, the use of classroom-to-classroom video chatting, such as a debate between two classes on a particular subject, can help students learn in a quicker manner and help them understand the topic at a higher degree. The use of iPads early on in elementary school and the introduction to computers that many children don’t receive would be beneficial later on in life. In today’s society, technology is used extensively in the workforce. Having the proper up-to-date technology can help the student better succeed and stay on top of the growing world. Technology and learning are becoming more and more hand in hand as technology gets improved and learning styles are figured out about students. There are a couple of learning theories that teachers need to know to provide students with the best learning situations to make sure that students are learning everything that they need, so they can be ready and successful today and are able to go into the workforce and be a benefit to future employers. This paper we are going to discuss how technology is going to help these student with technology.

After reading chapter two, I plan on implementing technology in my future classroom, as much as I can. I learned that technology advances learning and allows students to go beyond their textbook. While it is important for students to learn about the world around them, interacting in the world around them is so much more beneficial. This is why I plan on incorporating technology into my teaching strategies.

With the rapid rise of technological developments and advancements, it brings to question does the use of this technology help with learning in the classroom? This simple question moves past simple yes or no and, if used, should constantly be monitored to ensure the technology is relevant, meeting students’ needs as well as teacher’s objectives. In order to provide the best experience in the classroom today’s teacher must be aware of and incorporate technology into their personal educational philosophies and pedagogy. A fact which seems so simple yet has been difficult at best as many established teachers evolve their pedagogy at the speed of glacier melting. The education system around the world has progressed and changed in a plentiful amount of ways, and the concept of knowledge and learning has changed in modern day. For example, certain schools around the globe are moving on to implementing technology in classrooms because it provides many benefits and statistical research that states how students are improving their academic readiness because of the instant access to information, a greater engagement and interactive process in learning, and the personalization that instructors can do towards the educational experience that students receive. The benefits of technology in class can be rather debatable, for there are people who think it's a distraction, but it certainly seems to be beneficial according to the increase of passing percentages in schools.

Currently, there is a colossal debate regarding the use of technology in education. Some argue that using technology has a multitude of benefits, while others argue that technology use generates drawbacks or problems. I have read “Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants” by Marc Prensky, “The Learning Potential Of E-Books” written by Lotta Larson, and “Students’ perceptions of the usefulness of an E-book with annotative and sharing capabilities as a tool for learning: a case study” by Ee-Lon Lim and Khe Foon Hew, and I support the argument in which technology should be implemented into education because of its numerous benefits. The way that the education system is currently structured should change in order to allow technology to assist the teaching and learning process of today’s students.

Every student has a different way or learning, just as every teacher has a different way of teaching. Times have changed, our technology has become a more dominant aspect of our lives. From grades pre-kindergarten to the college level of learning you can be sure that each classroom will be using some sort of technology while being taught by a teacher. There are many ways we can use technology in the classrooms from powerpoints, video clips, and even simply taking an online class. As one expert has claimed “The traditional approach where students learned from the teacher standing in front of the room has long been left behind.” (Hayre, 2014) Now the issue is using the technology at hand properly to help enhance the learning for each student.

Technology is rapidly growing, and consistently changing the dynamics of education as we know it. According to Robinson, McKenna, and Conradi (2012), “literacy teachers must find effective means of integrating computers and other forms of technology into their instruction” (p. 235). I believe that the integration and use of technology in classrooms is crucial in the development of students. “We believe it is essential for schools to assist students in developing the technological skills that will be required of literate citizens in the future” (Robinson, McKenna, & Conradi, 2012, p. 253). In todays days, more students are struggling with learning disabilities, language barriers, and speech delays. Many of these quite stressful on both the student and teachers, and can be damaging on a students academics. Today, technology is an essential tool integrated into school environments. Technology is arising and advancing over time. “Most importantly, today’s students do not know how a world without computer, internet, videogames is (Prensky, 2001).” Researchers believe that the internet is a tool with the potential to contribute to the enhancement of teaching and the information quickly to a wide-range audience. “In 2013, 71 percent of the U.S. population age 3 and over used the Internet.” One might feel that internet usage in schools by students and teachers is a distraction; however, internet usage may align in a conducive learning environment.

One of the greatest advantages of technology is to prepare the learners for the future. It is without question that our learners need to know how to use technology as part of their school years and later in their careers. It is also a way to increase student engagement and motivation. Technology allows teachers and student to explore the internet and discover new parts of the word and obtaining useful information for their tasks. “Technology may empower, but to what end will that power be used?” said Levine in I Surf, Therefore I Am (224). The empowerment of technology simply comes down to the way it is used. More recently; however, the Internet has become some sort of replacement in the way students learn today. With the use of the Internet and little to no interaction with physical books, people can become uneducated rather easily. In today’s society, most everyone has access to the Internet; however, it is the way we use it that helps determine our success.

Despite the fact that United States of America’s education program is a far stretch from futuristic in most districts; application of technology has undoubtedly showed itself to be a critical factor in most high performing schools. Technology not only improves the learning environment to better fit the student, but also offers previously inaccessible learning material to students. If seen as an investment by the schools for the benefit of the students, private technology assigned to each student would better the classroom atmosphere and improve student life just as well as money spent on a new stadium or performing arts center would.

There are many advantages of integrating technology into education; one of them is to lessen the effort, time and money, for both the student or teacher. Consequently, the technology led to the emergence of a new learning environment, changing the role of teacher and student. The learning process becomes more organized, and the teacher roles become a facilitator, developer, and producer of educational programs.

Each year our world becomes more globalized, and with that new educational approaches become widespread. These new approaches impact the way technology is used in classrooms. There can be no doubt that when using technology in the classroom educators must control the use at all times. When allowing for technology to become a norm in
