Steve Jobs was an accomplished leader and innovator in technology, having helped found and lead multiple companies throughout his life. His many accomplishments include; founding Apple and NeXT and was the CEO of both companies as well as Pixar. Jobs created many life-changing products like the Apple ll, which is has been known as one of the first true PC’s. Early Life Steven Paul Jobs was born on February 24, 1955 in San Francisco, California. His biological parents were Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah "John" Jandali, both University of Wisconsin graduates, who gave him up for adoption. This was a huge starting point for them and had even bought out a co-founder Ron Wayne out for $800. After the success of the first Apple computer the Apple ll was a big hit, but a competitor the IBM PC threatened the success of the Apple lll. Steve had put his hope into the Lisa computer but was later thrown out for his hot temper. As revenge he started on another project called Macintosh. Macintosh ended up being the new hope for Apple as Lisa was turning into a bust. They introduced Macintosh at the company’s annual shareholders meeting, and was great at the beginning, but by early 1985 it started to plummet. Jobs refused to accept that his work was failing and as a result it ended up him getting kicked out of operations, leaving him as only a chairman at the board. Because of this he started a new company with ex- Apple members, but would later threaten him with suing him. As a result Steve resigned from Apple and sold all but one of his shares. He reviewed every team at Apple and made them justify their importance to the future of Apple. He also brought his executive team from NeXT to help with some work. The critics finally started to believe he could run a company when he unveiled his new product, the iMac. This product played a key role in bringing back tons of developers to the Mac platform and after three years in charge Apple was finally back in to its status of a cool tech icon. After the resurrection of the iMac Steve started to focus on ways to make the company’s shrinking market share grow. He decided to use Apple’s unique knowledge of making both hardware and software.
