Love, a word used everyday across the world to describe all sorts of different things. Although used throughout the world, love means something different to everyone. Society’s viewpoints on love are changing now more than ever, and there are lots of false beliefs that go along with the meaning of love. Along with that, there is also a wide variety of meanings of the word.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and choices and if a person decides that their love preference would rather be with someone their own sex then it should not conflict with anyone or anything. Discrimination is continually seen in the LGBTQ community through religious matters, traditional matters, and society views. It is now far more common for traditions to be broken. Therefore, in the case of religion, family morals and beliefs are often transferred down to many generations down the line. To me Love, is one of the hardest words I could ever try to define, as everyone has different perspectives, definitions and believes for this one word. It has also been a word that has been highly overused, and though it does have a set definition, I can't seem to fully define it. Recently there have been multiple debates against loving who you want, especially with certain religions. The LGBTQ community isn’t accepted into many people's religions because “it goes against what the bible says” or because “it’s gross”. This situation has torn families apart simply because one member cannot take that another person loves someone of the same-sex. I believe that same-sex relations should be widely accepted in all religions and people should be able to love who they want without fearing over how it will affect them for the rest of their life. I believe this because not only does shaming gay couples embarrass the person in the relationship, it may also embarrass their children or make their children feel ashamed of them; not accepting gay relations in religions can cause violence towards the LGBTQ community; and finally because in the bible, it also states that God loves all his children no matter what. So in all, I believe that gay relations should be accepted by everyone.

Homosexuality and same sex marriage seems to be the hot issue of the world today. To be completely truthful, homosexuality has always existed, in different places and in different religions. The openness of this love has varied due to a cultures opinions. Homosexuality has truly nothing to do with religion, is not a choice, in no form makes people more likely to be a child molester, and occurs naturally. Some people argue that G-d condemns homosexuality, but in no religious text does G-d himself condemn homosexuals. In fact, most religions believe that repenting for a sin causes G-d to forgive you and you may be admitted into heaven or the Garden of Eden.
