School uniforms make things more complicated
Firstly, school is the place where all of us step in at a very tender age. In one word, life begins at school. It’s not just education but school gives us the platform to nurture our faith, emotions in such an early stage of life. The importance of making friends, working as a team- we learn all these in school. And wearing the same dress definitely brings a sense of unity among students.
In every school there are students from different backgrounds but with the school uniform everyone becomes one-the only identity dominates at that moment is all them are representative of the same school. This is a great feeling of togetherness. School uniforms flashes out most of the drops of social conflicts.

Cameras also will protect students by providing evidence if something unexpected occurs.
More and more schools are installing security cameras in halls, classrooms and buses. Administrators say it helps protect students and staff, but some argue the practice is invasive. many students around the world have been falsely accused of something they didn’t do. All of these problems can be eliminated with one little piece of technology hanging from the ceiling. That little piece of technology is a surveillance camera which can be placed almost anywhere. Many schools are determining whether or not to install security cameras in classrooms. Those who have, have seen dramatic changes in teachers, students, and even parents. Cameras have many helpful factors. For instance, cameras can be used to train future teachers, broadcast to students at home, and deal with bullying. Having cameras in a classroom environment are beneficial for students, teachers, parents, and schools because they hold teachers accountable, help students improve their behavior, and evaluate teacher and student interactions.
Reconnaissance in schools has turned out to be more famous, for wellbeing reasons, as well as to screen the classrooms and teacher. The primary issue with influencing the schools more to secure is the methods by which to influence them more to secure without people feeling dismissed. A couple of activities to lessen the fierceness and wrong lead
Improvement in security will also contribute to a safe environment. High schools should implement the use of metal detectors as well as random searches. Although, it may be tedious to remove all metal and coins from your pockets, it will ensure safety. This security measure can be specific to each school. An example being to make the checks random throughout the week or only require it for students to have a late arrival. Random searches can also be specified such as only searching lockers or classrooms. Motion sensored cameras can also be a very effective with safety. In many school’s cameras are only in the hallways and lunchroom, but what happens when violence occurs in a classroom? All evidence will be based off hearsay. This is not an effective way of assessing the incident considering there are 3 sides to every story. Adding motion cameras to classrooms will make evidence accurate. Not only will student-student altercations be recorded, but teacher-student altercations will be recorded. Security guards themselves should also be improved. Security guards should be posted in hallways upon children arrival, during passing periods, and upon school dismissal. Security guards should also be fit enough for the job. “The results indicated that utilization of multiple security measures reduced the likelihood of exposure to property
School should install high tech safety features around their school like cameras or alarm systems. Talking to my cousin Kamalpreet about school security was a must because she goes to school where there were lots of crime-related issues. She always talks about what happened at their school. Kamalpreet said she witnessed lots of crime happening around their school and that their school doesn’t have any type of security arrangements. Many people fight at their school and no one is there to stop them because of lack of security system. She said “no matter what type of school it is they should have security arrangements for their school safety.” Also she said “that as new technology is on the rise and they should make some type of detectors to keep schools safe.” Every school should have some type of security and it is not cheap to get security systems. The whole issue is about money because they are too expensive, so not every school can afford them. There are many ways to raise money if school tries and that money can help with security. Raising money is always an option when it comes down to children’s safety. Teachers should keep children on the right track then they will go into right direction and that will help school as a whole feel safer. If teachers don’t teach anything then children will fight with each other and school won’t feel safe, but that is also up to the students. The Department
In today's school system, there have been uproars about the student's privacy and safety at the schoolhouse. Some parents feel that their child's safety is more important because of the rules that the school has set forth to maintain a safe environment. Others feel that their child's privacy should be taken seriously because they should be treated more like an adult. In recent news, there has been concerns about the student's safety that cause some to get injured or killed; while, student's privacy has cause the police to get involved. The school system should be concerned as well as, aware about the student’s privacy and safety at their prospective school.
Some argue that having armed officers can be intimidating to students. Also that they can create a tense environment. That they may also abuse their authority. Students must be made aware of why the officers are present. Although it can be scary to a student to see an armed officer patrolling the halls but with proper training of officers to be in a school environment students will feel safe. Students as well as faculty and staff should also be well informed as to the duties of the officers so that there is an understating of an armed officers purpose in a school.
School shootings are terrifying and a big problem in today’s society. Schools have added lockdown drills, bullet proof glass and metal detectors. School should be a safe area for children to learn instead of fearing for their life. Instead of buying metal detectors and hiring more officers, there is a much easier solution in order to decrease and prevent school shootings. We have to be more alert about securing weapons at home and being aware of suspicious behavior at school in order to keep children and faculty safe.
To promote a healthy learning environment that potentially increases school funding, the first recommendation for schools is to remove all metal detectors on school campus. Having excessive forms of security measures can only be counter-productive to the results that schools want to see. The purpose of school institutions is to promote a learning environment, not an environment where it has become an evolved form of the prison system. Removing metal detectors in its entirety would allow schools to allocate the existing funds to support school administrators or counselors. The use of metal detectors are not only excessive, but perpetuates the image of the prison industrial
They focus more about how safe people feel, while still making sure they are actually safe. To do so, they offer having security devices built within the structure of buildings. Having them with the walls makes it more discrete, so it will not affect the image of the building. They also mention having a balance between safety and an inspiring environment, which is one of the biggest challenges in modern day society. They also acknowledge the fact security measures taken will need to be consistently revised as technology keeps improving. This is useful to the essay because it discusses many of the issues possible solutions to security and can be applied to schools. It also widens the origins of research collected.
Though a fair amount of time and money towards searches there is still an alarming amount of theft and assault on school property. As technology has advanced over the years schools have gotten electronic gadgets and techniques to keep students out of trouble. As the amount of technology and precautions taken to avoid students getting in trouble the amount of students breaking rule increases with it. Though schools take many steps to protect students, pupils still report that drugs are made accessible to them on school property, schools combine document that nearly 2 million crimes were reported to them, and many students still feel unsafe (violence in U.S. public schools). These reports show that millions of dollars provided by taxes go towards school security and it has done less than intended.
The process of adding more guards and adding more detectors to school buildings will just add on to the stress of students going to school. Also by adding all the equipment it will make it feel more like a jail anyway because they already have a set lunch, certain amount of bathroom passes and a bell dismisses them from all their classes. So even by adding the following safety measures the schools are not becoming more “safe and secure” (“5
What steps are being taken to keep students safe? The topic has risen, ‘should teachers be armed?’. Teachers should be armed in order to protect students from possible threats. School shooting has dramatically risen since 2000, though they dated back to 1764. Teachers would be trained and very prepared to handle any ‘code red’ emergency. Though there are opposing points there are solutions and positive outcomes for most.
Uniforms in schools are a big debate around the world. Should we have uniforms in schools? The answer is yes because uniform help the schools. They bring to table a great deal of help because students are getting bullied, killed, and some may not have as much as other when shopping for clothes. Having uniforms bring safety to schools and what goes on after school.
Schools need to maintain a disciplined and safe learning environment. There are many disciplinary actions that are in use today and although some can disagree about the amount of discipline that is best for maturing children, it is reasonable to be in agreement that a positive learning environment begins with physical and emotional safety. School safety includes a broad range of matters, including, fighting, bullying, drugs, alcohol, weapons, and etc. Many schools use varying methods in an effort to maintain school safety. Some schools limit school access and require all visitors to sign in. Physical surveillance is another common method of addressing school safety issues along with use of staff and student identification. Among all these
Uniforms may represent unity in a school, however we are told to be different and be ourselves. There are several supreme court cases that have proved that the First Amendment, freedom of expression, the Supreme Court stated in one case in particular “it can hardly be argued that either students and teachers shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate." With uniforms we are losing the main way we express ourselves.
Moreover, special anti-bullying rules should be put into effect. To this end, the playground, corridors, and rest rooms should be monitored by the teachers, these areas being unsupervised in the majority of schools across the nation (Coy). Apart from the teachers, certain bodies of students, such as members of the student council, could be deployed as watching squad to observe any acts of bullying taking place and to report such acts to the authorities (Coy). In this regard, one factor which is often overlooked and which forms the basis of hesitation on the part of the students is the non-availability of anonymity when reporting such cases (Coy).
In a democratic society, people are free to choose what sort of dress they want, but the way we dress ourselves greatly depends on what the situation we are in. For instance, we put on evening suits when we present ourselves at a party of celebrities; on the field, we put on sports wear. Therefore, in elementary and secondary school, I suggest students should put on school uniform to give a consciousness to students that people should wear proper clothes in certain place in order to respect others. As Gilchrish said, "clothing is a way to show others that you have respect and consideration for the situation" (20).
