Rough Draft Speech
Good Afternoon students and teachers. Thank you for allowing me to speak for you today. You may or may not know that I want to be a Marine Biologist and Oceanographer. I am taking steps to gain experience and training in those fields before college. Colin Powell said “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation.”
This summer I will be taking scuba lessons.Learning it now could definitely be helpful so that when i earn my master’s, or PhD, and get into the field I will be ready for action. Once I am certified, for life, I will be able to go on diving and marine research trips. Trips to places like Madagascar, Kenya, and the Amazon. Week after next I will be visiting UNCW. Uncw has a Department of Biology
• Born on April 4, 1957, to a poor family in the rural town of La Tuna Badiraguato, his abusive father kicked him out of the house as a child. He started swelling oranges to feed himself. He's poorly educated, his formal education ended in third grade, and as an adult, he has reportedly struggled to read and write, prevailing upon a ghostwriter, at one
I’ve always had a keen interest in science. When I was younger, I viewed a dolphin show online. I was instantly fanisnated and later I was informed that the trainers were special marine biologists. The idea of becoming a marine biologist is still a dominate career choice for me. Last year, I was incredibly curious with the aspects that a marine biologist has to undertake that I researched the career path as part of my PLP. This only ignited my interest even further and when I was invited to attend the Flinders University I particularly focused on the marine biology and biology lectures.
Transition: I’ve told you about some attractions and the malls, Finally, I’m going to tell you about the hotels in Dubai and also some major possible future hotel projects.
The Naval Academy Summer Seminar inquires my interest academically, gregariously, and contributes as a possible future career. To begin with, I presume that by having this opportunity to attend this seminar both my work ethic and scholastics will be challenged extensively; for instance, being exposed to a variety of fields of study would expand my studious capability. Next this program would also give me the possibility to forge new relationships between fellow participants through working side by side with one another in a team setting, and by engaging socially amongst each other. To conclude, I have been intrigued to purse microbiology as a field of study after high school and have considered proceeding with the Navy as a Naval Microbiologist
Beginning next year, I plan on double majoring in Environmental Science and Biology, and I want a career in Conservation and/or Biodiversity. YCC is an ideal opportunity because it enables me to involve myself in activities oriented towards my career. Because I am dually enrolled in my high school and Western Kentucky University, I have benefitted from many opportunities to discover my passions and pursue Biology. I am currently involved in Undergraduate Biology Research and have completed several biology courses ranging from Anatomy and Physiology to Evolutionary Biology and Biodiversity in Costa Rica. Because of my favorable academic circumstances, I have had many opportunities in the field of biology, but I have obtained fewer experiences in Environmental issues. However, I am still passionate about the environment, and especially lifestyle changes that would reduce detriments to the Earth.
How The Forked River Tuna Club Scholarship will help me further my educational and career goals in the marine or environmental sciences or a related field.
Thank you for the support that you gave APD and me in FY-16. Mr. Song and I feel that your team and you bent over backwards in many instances to support our mission requirements. We couldn't have had a successful year without you. For that we are greatly appreciative. We look forward to working with you in this new fiscal year.
In any given Sunday as we the football fans watch the sport with friends and family, screaming at our television, chanting and routing for our respecting teams to win, I can honestly say that not one of us think or know what the 26 president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt has done for the sport.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt also known as FDR was the 32nd president of the United States and is known for being one of the greatest in history. He was a democrat and the only president to be elected four times into office even though he was unable to serve his full terms; he was still able restore the economy from The Great Depression with his New Deal domestic policies. The New Deal named the four important things to America during those times which were relief, recovery and reform. Establishing programs such as the Public Works Administration and Social Security which helped Americans back to work and help give aid to elderly people. FDR would also face other problems during his presidency such as pressure to get involved in World War II. Many actions would cause America’s involvement in World War II such as the Japanese assault on Pearl Harbor, USS Panay and Germany’s unrestricted use of submarine warfare.
A. How many years have you been in school? How many of you ever thought that once I enter college that I will have a lot of freedom? Have you ever considered how much your life will change once you enter college?
Transition: As you get closer and closer to actually “shooting” the ball, the form becomes more and more important. The room for error becomes miniscule.
In class we were shown a recording of the speech, “A call to men”. The first thing I noticed was the title, which made me immediately assume it was going to be a female speaker that was going to speak about feminism; or something along those lines. To see a man giving the speech grabbed my attention instantly. The man giving the speech was Tony Porter, and his audience was mostly women, who made me think, “Is this guy going to be giving a speech about feminism?” While listening to his speech I felt guilty for being quick to judge, because his speech was actually about growing up as a male, and being masculine is today’s society. While Tony Porter was giving his speech, he brought up stories that without a doubt every guy in our class could relate to that left many of us saying, “Wow”.
My goals in life are to get a first enlist in the Navy, hope to get a job as a diver in the special operations program. After my first enlistment is up, I want to be a diver at an aquarium where I can feed the animals; Meanwhile, I would like to attend Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science at The University of Miami and earn a doctorate degree in Marine Biology to become a Marine Biologist. I've always been fascinated with animals, especially aquatic life. Although, I wasn't dead-set on becoming one at first, over spring break I made my final decision. We went to an aquarium and I just loved every bit of it; the animal’s interactions, the knowledge behind all of it, and the joy I saw between the employees and the animals. I’m very interested in not just the study of organisms in the ocean or other marine bodies of water, but also marine conservation and ecology. Thinking about the studies of protecting and preserving of the ecosystems in oceans and seas and interactions among organisms and their environment just gets my full attention. I could sit for hours and hours and listen to anybody talk about these subjects and they would have my full attention, one-hundred percent. This subject has never, and never will lose my interest.
I, How many of you have been hearing about bullying? As you may hear on TVs or news or people are talking about the rates of bullying is going up from years to years.
This is important to me because I had to wait for months to get it because I was too lazy to go and get it from the studio, so they send them to the school and I got it from the yearbook coordinator.
