Of course, my parents were also my role models but there was a difference between my parents and my teachers. Being a daughter of immigrant parents had its obstacles. For example, when it came to completing my assignments I struggled because of my parent’s low proficiency in the English language. I was not receiving the assistance and support that I should have been of receiving. Having a positive and strong relationship with my teachers facilitated my decision to seek for the assistance I needed. My teachers never looked down on me or embarrassed me because I could not grasp the material at the same pace as the other students. They understood my situation and offered my family and I the assistance we needed to best aid in my success in accomplishing my work and contributing to the learning environment of the classroom. I was never given any kind of privilege or special treatment. I always worked diligently to thrive in my courses. Without that strong and positive relationship with my teachers I would have never found the motivation and inspiration to continue with my education through grade school and attend a four-year institution.

Growing up I had a role model. He is the most inspirational person I have ever had the chance of meeting. He took care of me when I was sick or when my parents would have to work late into the night, and honestly I am proud to say that this inspirational person is my older brother, Trey Hampton. Not only has my brother been there for me through thick and thin he even managed to introduced me to one of my greatest passions.

Many people have a person that they look up to and who encourages them. It's someone who I think doesn't give up and gets back up when they fall down, who has an impact to other people around them and they work for what they have earned. A person that is a role model to me is a man named Kobe Bryant. He is a basketball player that accomplished many things in his career. He was also born on August 23, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Biography Today 44). He is someone who overtime has shown persistence and courage throughout his career in basketball. Kobe Bryant was a role model and inspiring basketball player that had a great legacy in the NBA.

A role model is someone who lights the way you can’t, and inspires people to create their own path. They ignite your truth, and know how to turn that flame into a wildfire. A role model doesn’t have to be famous or a hero because they are your hero. They are your familiar face in a sea of unfamiliar souls.

For the past few years I’ve always received one question frequently, whether it be from a friend, or someone met in passing, the question of “Who is your role model?” has always come up. Everyone has a role model for different reasons, some being inspired by that person's creation and for others it's the success of that person or idea. The quality that I admire the most about my father is how hard working he is. When my father was in high school he ran track. He worked hard everyday and night. He always fought the temptation of being lazy and giving into peer pressure. His hard work paid off and he made it to states his senior year. He also holds many records at his high school. In conclusion, I am daddy's little girl and proud of that. I could not of asked for a better father. My dad has always been there for me and I wil always be there for him. He has been through so much in his life and still is a happy wonderful man; I would have been sad and depressed if I had to go through hald as much as my father. Dad is strong and looks ahead not He still works hard everyday, at the age of 64 years old. I admire and respect my father for everything he has does and has done. I work hard at everything I do for the greatest reward at the end of all my accomplishments is making my father proud.

I believe that having a relationship that changes your life or changes the way you think or do something is very valuable. Having that kind of relationship with my father is very impactful on my life. All the positive aspects of our relationship comes to my mind. Reflecting on our relationship, many stories are emphasized in our relationship; stories that were impacting and made me who I am to this moment. My dad is a business owner, builder, ex-skater, drum player, video gamer, soccer player, loving husband and father, and a faithful servant to our Lord, Jesus Christ. So being able to relate to my dad is very easy to me, for I share many of those talents and hobbies. As the oldest son in the family I didn't really have anyone to look up to or strive to be like a certain person that was close to my age. That led me to walk in my dad’s footsteps. Watching my dad give glory to God for all that he has given to our family was truly incredible to me. My dad’s work rate, his ability to help others when they need it most, his ability to get tasks done thoroughly was amazing to me. I truly know that he is a wonderful role model for me. Three stories come to mind when I think of my dad. He taught me various things in every one, they are: to listen to God when you struggle, to work hard and finish things well, and to love others even when we dislike their motives or actions.

My father's protectiveness and selflessness generated at a young age for him. He is the ninth of twelve children, and often told us stories of how he had to look after, and practically raise his three younger siblings after my grandfather had passed. He made certain they completed their chores around my grandmother's farm, maintained good hygiene practices, and kept up with their schoolwork. School was extremely important to my father, because he knew an education was the only way he could be successful.

It is easy to say that a parent has had the most influence on your life, they taught you how to walk, talk, drink and among many other things hopefully right from wrong. A good parent is there for you most of your life, quick to lend a hand or offer advice (unless it’s your mother-in-law) when needed, but the trait that impacted my life the most was the integrity my father exhibited with me and the people lucky enough to have met him.

Throughout someone’s life they have a role model that they look up to and admire. Whether it be a super hero, a relative, or even a friend, they still look up to that individual. My role model comes in the form of a five foot five man, with short black hair, and a face just like mine. He’s my father and even though he’s no super hero, he’s still definitely the person I look up to the most. Whether it be supporting my dreams, needing someone to talk to, or needing a ride to a date, he’s always there for me. When it comes down to it he’s the person I admire most, my role model, father, mentor, and most importantly my friend.
