“For the Birds”, by Ralph Eggleston is about bullying someone just because he looks different. “For the Birds” is a common problem worldwide. Fictional characters and humor are more effective than having an adult tell you that bullying is bad. The film does an excellent job in getting the message it intends across. I would recommend this film to younger children as well as teen audiences. Bullying is a universal problem. Bullying happens when he or she uses their force, or threat to abuse or intimidate others, it’s used repeatedly and it becomes habitual. A good example of this is in the children's book “The Lorax” by Dr. Suess. You wouldn’t think that there is bullying here, but there is. When the Once-ler was cutting down all of the Lorax’s trees, this was considered bullying. The Lorax asked the Once-ler time after time to stop cutting down trees and he said no, this is a type of greed, the Once-ler was doing things that would better himself and not caring about others. The Once-ler was hurting the community. There is also an example in the book “The Kaffir Boy” the little boy, Clyde, was picking on the other little boy about his skin color and how he looks.
People are bullied for many reasons, mostly because of their sexual persuasion, racial issues, attitude, weight and even clothing. Sometimes bully can leads to abusing the victim, end up the trauma of bullying hits the newspaper and the terrible scenario has happened. Perhaps a person has harmed their own self or someone else has stepped over the line and hurt them. Bully usually take places in the silence place such as classroom, a street corner or a home so that the victim can’t called for help. For example, in politics, Donald Trump, The President of The United States, puts out a variety of tweets that some people take offense to. In the story “The Wind up bird Chronicles” The author has a unique way of having everything flow together. The story is “spare and economical.” There are not overly long passages and when there is, it is usually to be descriptive towards the service of the a characters letters or memories. Murakami seems to master the diction of each character that happens to be speaking at the time. For example, May Kasahara uses words such as “weird” and phrases like “ya know?” Whereas the soldier seems to have a much formal way of speaking. The author also chooses the word choice depending on the character's personality. For instance, Kumiko’s language is very short and cut off and this also shows when she is emailing Toru.
