As I introduce this topic selection, I must first give insight as to why I have chosen it.
Racial profiling is an serious issue especially in the educational world. We see unlawful acts of blaming a certain particular race for assumed crimes. Or, in relation to the educational scene, prejudgments on academics ability in which the outcome is of teachers not putting forth the best of their abilities to teach. The rationale behind my chosen topic is to shed light on racial profiling and its disadvantage to certain races, to show the world that it is not ok to prejudge or purposely accuse someone of a crime based on the color of their skin. This source included the No Child Left Behind Act to justify its reasoning which in a nutshell discusses, “The Bush administration's No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 promised that all students would be proficient at reading and math by this year. Schools missed this utterly unrealistic goal by a country mile. The Obama administration set a lower target — pressuring states to create detailed plans to reduce by 50 percent the achievement gap between different races of students by later this decade.
