You’ve probably heard someone say, “Don’t Text and Drive” at least once or even an abundance. I hear it all the time but seriously, why do people feel the need to utilize their phones while driving? Are they more focused on texting someone back or the actual road? Texting while driving is an intensely menacing thing somebody could possibly perform. Texting and driving don’t suit together and it should stand illegal. Many innocent people’s lives are placed into danger when someone decides to text while driving. I was one of those innocent people once when someone decided to text while driving and it left an immense effect on me which led me to change my mind in a fundamental way about this texting and driving issue.
One summer evening, my friends and I arranged to go to the movies right before we would all go different ways because of college. We were planning on car pulling but I decided to go separate in my new White Honda Accord. I reached there safely and we were all tremendously thrilled to watch the movie. The movie was pleasant and we had an enjoyable time for one final time. It was 7:45 p.m. so I decided it was time to go home since my curfew was 9:00 p.m. Finally, after talking and still talking, I decided to go home after saying all the goodbyes and see you later. It was now 8:00 p.m. but I was not bothered because I knew I was going to reach home by 9:00 p.m. since my house was just thirty minutes away. It was still bright outside because it was a long summer day.
Then, I begin driving and heading home listening to some old summer songs and gazing at the scenic lively orange sunset. A red traffic light was ahead of me and the Silver Toyota Camry in front of me touched her breaks and so I followed. My car was almost on a complete stop and then I heard a thunderous noise, the airbags deployed, my body hit my steering wheel and my car hit the Camry in front of me. My heart begun aching and beating certainly fast. I just rested there trying to figure out what had happened. Then a tall thin male that appeared to in his early twenties arrived and removed me out of my car. He said, “I am so sorry for rear-ending your car, I wasn’t paying attention.” I was confused.
