“ Are you ready.” I was waiting at the door for my mom to take me to my riding lesson. I was all dressed in my riding breeches, shirt and boots. “Go put your stuff in the car I'll be there in a second” my mom replied. I put my stuff in the car then buckled up. While i was waiting for my mom I went on my phone and made a folder in photos called rufus. When I turned off my phone we were pulling into the barn parking lot. Once we were parked I unbuckled then went to the trunk to get my bag and my horse's halter and lead. I walked to the barn door and called “door” we do that so that any riders or horses are aware that a person or horse is entering the barn. I put my bag at the first set of crossties then walked out to paddock 3 where my horse …show more content…
“ Great ride Isabelle! Why don’t you cool him off then untack and put him in his stall?” My coach said as she came towards me and started patting Rufus’ neck. I did my favorite cool down exercise, free walk what I do is I knot up the reins and place them on his saddle then let him walk freely in the arena, unless he speeds up or tries to get into trouble. Once he was all cooled off I dismounted and led him back into the barn and untacked him then walked him to his stall and hugged him and gave him a carrot and said goodbye to him then I took a picture of him and shut the door and walked out of the barn. As soon as I looked up my mom was pulling into the parking lot, of course she wanted to see Rufus so we went back into the barn and said hello and patted him and gave him some treats, then after what felt like an hour we finally left. In the car I told my mom what I did at my lesson and then I posted the picture I took of him and the caption was “Best lesson
Next, comes the saddle. Swing the saddle up onto the horse’s back so that the horn is facing the
I slipped my left foot into the stirrup and pushed off the ground swinging my right leg over the back of the horse. I took a moment and a deep breath in thinking back to a month before when I had taken a bad fall in a show, landing on my head, and getting a concussion. Sitting in the saddle I could feel my stomach turning and visions of falling off again kept reappearing in my mind. I had fallen off a handful of times before, but never that bad. I took grip of the reins and put pressure to the horse as I signaled for him to walk on. My confidence level had taken a toll, but step by step I was becoming less nervous and back to my old riding self.
Threads to Which I belong is a book that captivated my soul. As I read through the pages of history, I found myself traveling back in time. Invisible I stood in Mississippi watching a family’s history unfold. As I turned the pages, my emotions changed constantly. I experienced emotions of anger, disgust, sorrow, and happiness. The author has written an outstanding piece of work that forces you to consider researching your own family history.
Starting over. Those two simple words pretty much sum up where I am at in my life at the moment. I am a 34 year old mother of three. I have never been to college. My husband just recently left me. It has been a whirlwind summer to say the least, but before I get into what brought me back to school, I'll start at the beginning. I was born in FL., and quite literally spent all my time either at the beach or running bare foot on my grandparents farm. I loved every second. Shortly after I turned 8 my mom met my step-dad, and we were quickly headed on our first big adventure, moving to Texas! While I missed my family in FL., I can not tell you enough how happy I was that my mom married my dad. He has been a rock and solid foundation for me my whole
Week one has passed by quickly! I think this week was very successful and I can say that I have learned many new things. This week has been an experience for me learning things about the business world. I am not a business major so I was not expecting to take these classes. I was assigned them, but have found them very beneficial. As I read through the first couple of chapters I read things I had heard before. This was a good thing that I could put the information with the terms I had heard previously.

I’m sitting within my petite Barbie dollhouse when suddenly I hear a slam at the door. I immediately stand up from my pink chair and sprint to the front of the house; it’s my older sister who has arrived from elementary school. From the second she would step foot in the house I would yell at her, “It’s time to read!” after a few eye rolls she would finally squat beside me and read a Dr. Seuss book. The way the words would just roll off her tongue so smoothly made English look so effortless, however, when she handed me the book for me to read I didn’t know where to begin, all that came out of my mouth was gibberish. I would make up my own words, not even knowing what they meant but for some reason, it was satisfying. As I continued to
He knew it was going to be a no excuses to lose to weather and it was going to be a good day for fans to watch football tonight. He had met with Kyle Cannon who was the quarterback for the team and a running back on the team named Dion Gordon;

Have you ever had to do something that you absolutely hate, but have to do it anyway? That is how I feel about reading. It is not that I hate to read, I just have a hard time finding time to read. As well as, I have a hard time finding a book that grabs and keeps my attention. I love the idea of curling up with a good book, but it reality I just cannot seem to make it happen. To me, reading requires time, effort, and discipline.
So I went down to the barn and saddled that horse right up. I should have known not to just jump on this big horse. He was acting very agitated throwing his head. Stomping his feet all over the place. I ignored all signs of turmoil and jumped on. When I got on I expected everything. But, nothing happened he just stood there like a perfectly tame horse. So I let my guard down loosened up my
“Sure” I clucked and pulled on to her halter.” she folded her legs under and pushed off the ground. She stood up and walked towards me as I took her out of the stall into the aisle for the vet to look at her.
With just three weeks left in the NFL’s regular season, there are five teams with double digit wins all looking to secure home field advantage through the playoffs. There are also nine teams with sub .500 records that still have a shot at making the playoffs. Say what you will about the current playoff system, but the next three weeks should be thrilling and I am excited to see how it all plays out.
I know how scary it is for you to put yourself out there.. yet, I keep rejecting you. And the one time I did say yes, my two friends ended up tagging along lol. I'm sorry. I really am. And I'm aware that saying sorry isn't going to fix anything unless I put the effort to change it. SO, if you are free tomorrow, let's do something. I promise I won't lag
